  • Saders not playing around.

Carter starts the game for the Saders and there is an immediate free kick for the Saders at the first break down, another free kick for coming in from the side and the Saders are off as they string a few passes together and look to have gone over in the corner but the TMO judges it to be in touch lineout Cheetahs – 5 metres from their own line. Touch is found bur the Saders take it quickly.

  • The Crusaders are fast closing in on becoming the first team in Super rugby history to break the 5000-point barrier.

As the side awaits the Cheetahs, the Crusaders require just a further 91 points to pass this milestone.

It’s the Saders on the attack now as they drive it up keeping it close and get the free kick which is taken quickly. The Saders run with purpose to their left and a big looping pass finds Stephen Brett who goes over for the TRY. Carter converts and it’s 7 points for the Saders.

    7-0 Saders

But just to make sure he leaves no witnesses he turns around and asks the next customer in line ‘Did you see me Rob this Bank?’

    The customer replies ‘Yes!’

The bank robber raises his gun, points it to to the mans heads and bang, shoots him in the head and kills him.

He quickly moves to the next customer in line and says to the man ‘Did you see me rob this bank?’

  • You have to ask yourself how productive it is to team morale to field a “B” team becasue you know you are going to lose.

It hurts the team’s mindset that the coach believes they are not good enough to win.

And then when the team get’s SLAUGHTERED it damages the mindset even further.

Nokwe makes a great break down the touch line but his chip is collected and marked. It’s the Saders on the attack again and great hands gets them into Cheetahs territory. It’s a Saders line out and McCaw makes a charging break from the line out and a big loop pass and then some more great passing eventually finds Hamilton who goes over for the TRY. The Saders make it look so easy as Carter’s conversion goes over.

Cheetahs consolidate and find touch in Saders territory and the lineout is taken quickly. Carter makes a great break and pile the pressure on 10 metres from the Cheetahs line. A penalty is awarded to the Saders now for off-sides and they opt for the scrum. Some angled running from the Saders shows their class and they thread a few passes to put Hamilton over for his second TRY. Carter misses the conversion.

Soon after the restart Nokwe makes the intercept as the Saders attack from their own half and goes over for an unchallenged TRY. Barnard’s conversion is good and the Cheetahs finally open their account.

  • As Robs article earleir this week indicated.

Naka gave up before this match even started.

What he NOW has to prove is that he hasn’t given up. and not by talk but by actions. And not to us but to his players.

He is supposed to be their leader!!!!!!!!!!

They have the Brumbies next week and they are ready to be beaten, but you won’t do it with a despondent team.

In all seriousness, i think we will win but not easily and not with an easy BP either, maybe even without a BP.

  • Hi KSA – Dick was hoping for some dry weather for a change. He said it would be nice for the guys to have a nice running game. Doesn’t look like that’s going to happen.

I took a look at the weather for the week and decided that as I was ill for most of the week and only went back to work on Thursday – sitting in the rain would not be a good idea so I gave my tickets to my sister and her family to go this afternoon. They are looking forward to it.

  • Hi Charlie – I know – but we never see the players after an Ellis Park game. The guys don’t like the area and they don’t stick around after the game and being an early game they may even fly them straight home.

But I will miss seeing Adi – it is something I always look forward to.

  • Charlie – although I don’t enjoy going to Loftus itself. The Sharks management always use that venue to arrange functions for us to see the players – so I always make an effort to go there. There are those huge fields around the ground and the pubs where you can go. Ellis Park doesn’t have anything like that.
