The Vodacom Bulls’ fullback Zane Kirchner as well as the young hooker Bandise Maku are flying over to Australia to join the team in Brisbane.
The BBRU reports that Kirchner is currently serving his two week suspension following his spear tackle on the Lions’ wing Dusty Nobel and Maku will replace James van der Walt, who picked up an injury in the latter part of Saturday’s match against the Reds.
Maku is a 21 year old who played for the SA “A” team in 2007 and represented the SA under 21’s in 2006. He was quite impressive in the Vodacom Blue Bulls last couple of games and is one of the most talented youngsters at Loftus.
The Bulls will stay in Australia till Thursday when they will depart for Rotorua, New Zealand.
Their next game is Saturday against the Chefs and after that they will play against the Blues (Auckland) and the Force (Perth).

So does this mean Ludeke has seen the light and that Steyn will play 12 with JP Nel being cast on the scrap heap?
Isn’t Pierre Spies supposed to be fit about now as well?
I am sure I recall something about him joining them after two weeks on tour.
I recall something about Spies joining the WC Bokke as well 🙄
I actually recall a sauce saying he would play for the Bulls the week after the Boks left for the WC. 🙄 🙂
‘Their next game is Saturday against the Chefs’
The Chefs???
What this article doesn’t say is that Maku only converted to hooker last year. He played prop at age group level
Hope the chefs dont make a meal of them too
bwaaaaaa. You guys are tres funny!
