In some sad news, it appears Brumbies and Wallaby back Julian Huxley has resigned himself to the fact that he will probably never play rugby again.
Huxley was recently diagnosed with a brain tumour. The benign growth, said to be the size of a lemon, was discovered after a brain scan was preformed when Huxley collapsed after a tackle back in week 2. Doctors seem to feel that an operation should be able to remove the tumour and the player should be able to resume a normal life as a result.
As for playing rugby, though, well, that seems to be off the cards for the future. Apparently Huxley’s doctors have told him thta he should expect his career to be over. The young man seems to be taking it in his stride, though and realising how truly lucky he is, given how much worse the prognosis could have been.
I’m sure we all wish Julian Huxley the speediest recovery possible and all the best for the future.

So is benign good or bad?
Is there such a thing as a nign tumour?
Which one is active?
benign is the kind one?
Malignant is the bad one?
As if there were a “kind” tumor to have. 🙁
if there’s a choice, go for the benign one, guys… benign all the way
Sad day, but hope he has a speedy recover…Good luck with his future plans… 😀
I always rated this guy… a real loss for them
Rob,
Agree buddy… 🙁
Brummers are getting some guys back from injury at crucial times, though… our tour is getting harder all the time.
