The Wildebeest will have to put last week’s narrow 35-28 loss to the Valke behind them when they take on the Platinum Leopards this Friday night at Woodburn Stadium, Pietermaritzburg at 7pm.
Currently in fourth place, five points ahead of SWD who are also chasing a quarter-final spot, the Wildebeest are almost assured of going through to the final eight, writes Mike Marnewick of www.sharksrugby.co.za.
The Leopards take on the Pumas are second-last on the A section log and will be going all out to upset the applecart and overhaul the points difference (currently 26) and hope for the Wildebeest loss.
For the KZN side, a win is paramount and the festival air that always pervades in big matches in Maritzburg will hopefully carry them through.

Hi guys…
Boy but the Sharks have a bunch of no-name players.
Unlike WP of course!
Wessie – what is a “no-name” player?? 😕
I’m still trying to find an excuse for not coming to work tomorrow I’ce…if I can’t think of something i’ll have to rely on the updates… 😡
Greetings from heathrow
I work from home. Very handy in cases such as this!
Players who i’ve never heard of before and clearly they are not good enough…
How many matches has the Wildebeeste lost already??? 🙄
Too many I am afraid….4th on the log if I recall correctly – I think they lost more than they won… 🙄
Since when did YOU become the barometer for “big name” players wes… 🙄
No-name player = Brad What’shisname 😉
Since i’m the resident stirrer on RobWorld!!! 😯
Wes is stirring. He’s right, though. Wildebeest have been poor this year.
Barritt?
I will send Brad to find you! 🙂
Luckily Brad is not Dries who would try and run over me. Brad will probably have a go at the gap. 😛
And I bet Try Time will be “kort op sy hakke” too!! 😀 😀
I miss Dries. He was my favourite inside prop
Talk about missing your calling
What ‘gap’ are we talking about here? 👿
Baby gap. Great clothes for little ones. There’s a useful tip for you, Wes! When exactly is young Eddie due?
He is due on 22 June.
Rob
