Jannie du Plessis has failed to recover from a hamstring injury sustained in training and will not take his place on the Sharks bench this weekend.

Springbok prop Deon Carstens will occupy the number 17 jersey in du Plessis’s place.

In other news, both lock Johann Muller and flanker Keegan Daniel have fully recovered from their various ailments and will be fit to play their part in what should hopefully another good with for the Sharks, their first in Canberra since 2001.

  • What hardship for Mr Muir, replace on injured Springbok prop with another Bok – to cover the bench, nogal.

  • Personnel problem, no. Acheivment problem, yes.

There are many talented players not doing a lot with the ball. It gets to a stage when they need a new attack coach with new ideas, or a good old fashioned boot up the aarse. hard to say which – maybe both 🙂
