The Lions have made some changes to their side for the clash against the Hurricanes this weekend.
Impressive Louis Ludik and the woeful Rayno Benjamin have both been dropped. Their spots on the wing go to Jannie Boshoff and former Shark Dusty Noble. Doppies la Grange comes in at 12, while Walter Venter moves one spot out to occupy the number 13 jersey, which Boshoff wore against the Brumbies.
Willem Alberts is not available this week, so Joe van Niekerk will move to number 8 to accommodate Franco van der Merwe on the blindside. The rest of the team is unchanged.

A pity that the Lions have gone backwards this season. Last year they picked up some impressive away victories. That side is just not good enough to beat Hurricanes.

And I don’t think Ludik was dropped, he took a heavy tackle from Mortlock in the Brumbies match and I think he is rested. Ludik is one of the guys who always gives 200%…
