are the chiefs in with a shout still, interesting is that even with a bonus point wi, the max they can get is 39 which is tie with the Tahs (assuming they lose to the reds without a BP). guess it then comes down to points difference, but if Chiefs have no chance of making it, will be that much easier for sharks.

The Lions aren’t going to be looking to do any teams a favour, they are going to try and get points to end above the Cheetahs on the log. 13th is better than 14th. And I guess there’s no love lost between the teams either, with rassie stealing our players…. 😐
Chiefs are in with a shout if the Tahs, Sharks and Stormers all lose with the tahs getting NO log points from the loss.
They will need a 5 point win and overhaul the Tahs PD.
Tahs are currenlty on 62 PD, a loss will make that smaller.
Chiefs are on 21 PD
So in short YES, BUT VERY unlikely 😉

The Chiefs can only make it if the Tahs Lose and get no bonus points, but then they (Chiefs) also need to beat the Sharks by 40 (minus what the Tahs got less than the Reds) and the Stormers must also not be above the Tahs by the time the Chiefs play.

If the tahs lose then that means the Sharks and stormers will be playing to see who gets the home semi and they will play the other (provided the both get 5 points)
