Bolla Conradie has been called up to join the Springbok training squad.
News 24 reports that the Stormers scrumhalf, along with the other 42 members of the squad, will assemble in Somerset West on Wednesday.
Injuries to Fourie du Preez and Heini Adams necessitated the move.
“I am delighted to be able to call on a player of Bolla’s quality and experience,” said Springbok coach Peter de Villiers. “He was unlucky to miss out on the initial squad selection and I am very pleased for him that he will get his opportunity now.”
Conradie has played 15 Tests for the Springboks.

The current scrum halves in the squad are
Heini Adams, (injured)
Fourie du Preez, (injured)
Enrico Januarie.
So I agree there needs to be another added for the time being, but would have thought of Chris Jonck, Francois Hougaardt or Tewis De Bruyn.
let’s face it THIS back-up scrummy will in all probability NOT make the final cut. So why not give an “up and coming” the experience rather than an “on the way down”.

Those three guys i chose are three youngsters who neither would make the cut NOW but may in the future and then they have the experience of training with the group.

Until (or should that be IF) Kockott joins the side he only has Januarie for the Wales tests. He needs someone else to tide him over.
