Mark Lawrence of South Africa will referee the 2008 Super 14 in Christchurch between the Crusaders and the Waratahs.
Rugby 365 reports all the officials come from South Africa as the independent country in this SANZAR Final.

His assistant referees are Craig Joubert, who would take over should anything untoward happen to Lawrence, and Cobus Wessels who is a specialist as an assistant referee and has had IRB appointments.
The television match official is another specialist – the former Test referee Shaun Veldsman.

😎
Cool a Saffa team without any imports in the final. 😉
who is Cobus Wessels? Never herd of him
Same here.
Would have thought it would be Marius Jonker or Willie Roos .
make them draw 1st, then xtra time, wear them out, Go Refs!! When does currie cup start?
@jarsonx (Comment 4) : who cares. We ain’t gonna win it
aint gona win what?
@jarsonx (Comment 4) :
June 20 Valke v Boland Kavaliers Bosman Stadium, Brakpan 19:00
June 20 The Sharks v Vodacom WP The Absa Stadium, Durban 19:10 (I’ll be there for this one) 😎
@jarsonx (Comment 6) : the Currie Cup
@KSA Shark © (Comment 7) : quite excited to see Province hand us our asses, are you? 😉
@robdylan (Go Sharks!) (Comment 9) :
Quite excited to see Albert or Sykes nail AJ 😆 And then wait for the geriatic comments to make their way into hiding.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 10) : Albert? Not exactly a spring chicken, though 😉
Credit to the Cheetahs….they have not been wooden spooners as yet….
@KSA Shark © (Comment 10) :
But AJ is no what he used to be…he gets bumped off every game….and a few times in some games too…
Not as physical as he used to be….
@robdylan (Go Sharks!) (Comment 5) :
Yes the LIONS are….
Are the LIONS the only team who have a the same CC and S14 coach?
Or the Cheetahs as well if not mistaken?
@Hmmm (Comment 14) :
We just have to…we have not won a trophy for a very long time now…
Well since the Vodacom Cup don’t count for much…
@Hmmm (Comment 15) : The Cheetahs only have a Currie Cup coach. That’s why they only won one game in the Super 14
@Hmmm (Comment 16) :
The Sharks have not won anything for longer for that matter….not even the VC…
And they have played in enough semi’s and finals to have done so…
@robdylan (Comment 17) : LoL
Well we did not do better…
We only won 2 and drew 1….so in fact lost 10 out of 13…
I guess we can join the Currie Cup talk… 🙄
June 20 it is…that should be an exciting game…
@blackshark (Comment 20) : I just hope we don’t have 12 guys unavailable, or it won’t mean much
Gee robdylan is the upcoming summer on that island making you despondent or what. Considering that the Sharks have just ended 3rd in the Super 14 and appeared in the semi-final one would expect a fairly good CC season should be possible.
@Salmonoid (Comment 22) : Unless we lose a huge amount of players to the Boks. As we saw in the Vodacom Cup, our reserve depth ain’t up to much
@robdylan (Comment 23) :
😈 But then we can always say that we had to play the Currie Cup with our Wildebeest team.
No I see it as a new start with a new coach and I have to be positive.
@Salmonoid (Comment 24) : My head is in a bad place at the moment. Give me a couple of days to shake it off and you’ll start seeing the overly positive, pro-Sharks drivel you are used to from me 😉
