Cheetahs Sign Rossouw

Springbok flyhalf Chris Rossouw, will wear the no. 10 jersey of the Vodacom Free State Cheetahs in this year’s Absa Currie Cup rugby competition.

News 24 reports that Cheetahs coach , Naka Drotske, on Thursday confirmed to OFM Sport Rossouw was on his way to Bloemfontein and will arrive on June 9.

This is great news for the Cheetahs after a dismal performance by the flyhalves of the central union in this year’s Super 14 in the absence of Willem de Waal.

Rossouw will be a big boost for the Cheetahs as Cup champions. He is known as a running flyhalf who can also dictate with his kicking.

Free State can now pick their flyhalf out of Rossouw, Jacques-Louis Potgieter, Tewis de Bruyn and Sias Ebersohn.

  • Sorry to disagree with all u guys, but this guy was always one of my favourite players. He is the one SA player who reminded me most of Larkham. To me, he had more vision than the majority of SA players, but was a bit ahead of his time. If he’d had a more open-minded coach to guide him earlier on, then he would definitely have made the Bok side regularly. A bit sad that it’s too late now.
