The Cheetahs ran up an unassailable half-time lead against the Leopards in Potchefstroom last night, thanks to four tries to open side flanker Heinrich Brüssow.
The half-time score was 33-10 in favour of the visitors, who then went to sleep and had only a solitary try to Eddie Fredericks to show for their efforts in the second half. It was more than enough, as they won the pre-season hit-out by 40 points to 19.
Three of Brüssow’s tries came as a result of drives from lineouts, an area in which the Cheetahs were completely dominant. Flyhalf Jacques-Louis Potgieter succeeded with all five conversion attempts.
Man, I sure am glad that Brüssow is in my fantasy league squad!
Scorers:
Cheetahs: Tries: Heinrich Brüssow (4), Eddie Fredericks. Conversions: Jacques-Louis Potgieter (5).
Leopards: Try: Jan van Zyl. Conversion: Clayton Durand. Penalties: Durand (4).

I would have scored handsomely had this been a real Currie Cup game 😉
Hope I picked him too. Can’t remember. 😐
