Lions only 3 in line out against 6/7 Cheetahs on their throw and then lose it.
Another penalty at scrum time, this time against vd Merwe.
Lots of penalties at ruck/maul time. 👿

Fire engine just drove past my house.
Nokwe scores.
No wait TMO to check.
@ra-cheltjie de’ be-er (Comment 21) : killing the Currie Cup with these f*cked-up laws
Maybe forward pass.
@robdylan (Comment 26) : Plenty of penalties for going off their feet etc. Bit over zealous most of the time if you ask me.
After seven thousand replays the TMO rules forward pass.
Earl Roses nails bite size chips. 😆
Line out sounds like an auction.
Penalty states.
Banzai chips gets another shot at goal.
..and nails it.

Half time
Tiny chips 16 – 12 Lions.
Brent Russel not happy with TMO’s new powers.
But he was late to the studio, stuck in London traffic, so probably not in a good mood.
Knck on from restart. Scrum states.
Pick & drive from Cheetahs & then give away penalty 7m from try line.
Now penalty States. Lions holding on. 🙄
Fortuin seems to have the acceleration and pace of an overweight prop.
No points in second half so far.
Charge down, but ball goes dead. Unlucky Lions.
Penalty Lions…..
Rose slots it.
16-15
Plenty of kicking.
Penalty Cheetahs…..

7’s legend Fabian Juries coming on.
@robdylan (Comment 50) : Not the best quality unfortunately, but watchable none the less.
Rossouw doing better than expected
@robdylan (Comment 57) : Not bad at all, kicking really well. Think he only missed one so far.
20min to go.
He’s scored all the cheetahs points. I can’t say I remember him as much of a kicking flyhalf. Must’ve learned something in France anyway
I want the free kicks back. These penalties are killing the game
@robdylan (Comment 61) : All these penalties seem to result in very stop start matches.
Penalty Lions…….
Kickable.
Rose slots it. Good kick.
19-18
Another penalty…….
Lilliputian chips going for goal.
But alas he misses.
So far Rose scored all the Lions points and petite chips scored all the points for Cheetahs.
5min to go.
Vasbyt Cheetahs.
Nothing against Lions but Cheetahs are my superbru pick.

Sterling job there Racheltjie. 😎
@KSA Shark © (Comment 89) : You big flirt.
😉
@ra-cheltjie de’ be-er (Comment 90) :
I heard some intersting news yesterday.
I went down to Kings park to see if i could move my season tickets.
The guy behind the counter informed me that i could but then would not qualify to buy my Lions tickets for next years test. 🙁
Apparantly they have “locked” sales on 1 may of this year and all existing season ticket holders will be entitled to buy there tickets for the Lions test but anyone who buys tickets now or new ones next season will not be entitled to their tickets becasue they will all be sold through computicket.
The “available” seat numbers have already been “issued” to computicket for them to prepare the sales packages.
Rachel is up in 3rd spot now
@KSA Shark © (Comment 89) : It’s just my philanthropic side coming to the fore.
@robdylan (Comment 93) :
You are gonna hit 10k before me you bastardo. 😳
@KSA Shark © (Comment 89) : Mostly ‘commentating’ to myself, but get a strange sense of satisfaction from it. Much like ironing. 🙄
@KSA Shark © (Comment 95) : Doubt it
@ra-cheltjie de’ be-er (Comment 96) :
I have been there a few times. 😉
Anyway, I am on dial up, it is almost the pumpkin hour and it is COLD here…………..
@robdylan (Comment 97) :
Dude i am gonna post like 50 comments a week (if that) for the next 4 weeks. 🙁
Have a good evening gents. Amazon delivered 4 books today so I’m off for a spot of reading.
Seem Coke have bought the naming right for Ellis Park.
45 million rond apparently.
@ra-cheltjie de’ be-er (Comment 101) : Do the Lions have anything left to sell? Still, bodes well for them. They can pay top dollar and buy a good team, just like back in the 90s
