Jannie Boshoff is on the wing and Alten Hulme comes in at lock with both Gerhard Mostert and Anton van Zyl injured.
Flank Franco van der Merwe, who has a muscle strain, is bracketed with Justin Wheeler.

This is good for the Lions, Excellent actually but only for 3 or 4 weeks I’m afraid.
Once Mossie shows, as he did in the S14, that he is one of those players who come back from injury with his form at top notch, then he will be straight into the Bok team.
The question for me is just whether it will be Adi or Steyn who return to te Sharks.
Should be Steyn coming back for some provincial rugby IMO.

Walter Venter was injured in the Valke match, otherwise Doppies might not have started this Saturday. And surely you are joking about Jaco Pretorius in post 11…he is one of our best players!
Sephaka had an average game, we battled in the scrums on our own ball, and that chirp from him that in France they allow you to walk from scrum to scrum as long as you scrum well…he did a lot of walking.

Why Walter!??! What has he done since last year…he was bad in S14 2007…bad in the CC last year…bad in the S14 2008….bad in the CC this year thus far…
He does not get over the advantage line…his passing is poor (which is very disappointing as he was a 7’s expert)…I mean how many over-head passes did he give straight into touch or nowhere near a player…plus knock-on’s and bad decision making…running left when he should be running right…
His defense has been ordinary and against the Blues and I think Crusaders it was woeful…
Him and Waylon are in exactly the same boat…

Yes Walter I would…JacoP has been disappointing for long now and Boshoff is a promising young player…he does no worse than JacoP currently and then can play himself into outside centre…and become a great back-up for JaquesF and become a great centre partner to the other young start in WalterV…
