One or two of you have made requests for Superbru pools for different competitions. We as usual we have decided to give you what you have asked for.
No that doesn’t mean you can ask for more things!!!!!!!!!
Guinness Premiership
There are so many bloody Saffa’s playing in the Guinness Premiership and we have almost as many posters from that neck of the woods that we thought it WOULD be a good idea to open a Sharksworld pool for the Guiness Premiership.
It also makes sense that with our season on the wind down we may need something to spur each other about during the offseason. I mean slagging the WP “boys” off for not making the Semi-Finals will only be fun until Mid November, and then we need to find something else to do.
So here are the details for the Sharksworld Guiness Premiership pool.
Website: http://www.superbru.com/guinness
Pool code: sandmoor
Pool name: Sharksworld
There are only a few days left before the competition starts so get your entries in NOW and get those emails off to at least two mates each to make sure there are enough people in the pool that YOU don’t end last.
Champions League
Now some of us are more clever than others and CAN predict the bounce of an odd shaped ball. For those, not able to do that we have opened a pool for the round ball Champions League.
How difficult can it be to pick a correct margin in a match that seldom sees more than one or two scores per game? 😉
Website: http://www.superbru.com/championsleague
Pool code: kegspips
Pool name: Sharksworld
Again there is NOT a lot of time before the season kicks off so get those entries and invites going.

C’mon. Why are there no entries yet?????
@KSA Shark © (Comment 1) :
Coz i suck at Bru??? 🙄
@KSA Shark © (Comment 1) :
Well I suppose it has only been 3 minutes since i posted the article 😉
@I’ce (Rebel With a Cause) (Comment 2) :
If at first you don’t succeed…………… 😆
@KSA Shark © (Comment 4) :
Climb the ladder to success??
Thanks. I reckon I’ll enter the premiership one later on.
I pick Manchester United to win the champions league.

@KSA Shark © (Comment 10) : Sommer gonna make my picks right now. 😎
@KSA Shark © (Comment 8) :
You see..I am already in another pool…and I chose Saracens… 😕
@KSA Shark © (Comment 10) : So far. It’s only you and me.
@McLovin (Comment 14) :
Lekker pool to win or runne up…..MY type of pool..

@McLovin (Comment 14) : and me.

@PJLD(RIP Bernie Mac) (Comment 18) :
Bwhahahahhaha
Wrong!!!!!!! TRY AGAIN???????
Try and get your hands on the UK rugby world mag. Loads of info & nice previews for every team. Maybe I should have checked it before I made my picks.
HELP ME OUT HERE GUYS?
Wasps and Northhampton Saints are the two teams that come into the premiership.
Which teams went out?
@KSA Shark © (Comment 22) : Didnt saints go down last year?Wasnt Wasps already there last year?
http://www.guinnesspremiership.com/
There is also a club by club guide on the right hand sidebar on: http://www.sportinglife.com/rugbyunion/news/
@KSA Shark © (Comment 19) : Should have picked a London club I suppose. But I don’t care that much. 🙄
@PJLD(RIP Bernie Mac) (Comment 23) :
according to the two logs i posted above Wasps and Saints are new to the list.
Leeds Larnegie is missing and for SOME FOOKING STUPID REASON I can’t see which other team is missing. 😳
@McLovin (Comment 25) :
Bath is my choice coz of their great half-back pairing
@robdylan (Comment 16) : @KSA Shark © (Comment 19) :
Two all… 😎
@McLovin (Comment 25) : none of the London clubs are actually anywhere near me. I suspect you have the same problem?
Bit of a joke, really… Irrish are based in Reading and Sarries in Watford. That’s not London at all.
Wasps are at High Wycombe, Berks… also not actually in London.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 26) :
Okay after printing it out I found that WASPS was infact there already in 2007 😳
So the New team is Northhampton Siants and the Gone team is Leeds Carnegie.
KSA – only one team is relegated each year
Will join both in a few minutes…I don’t know much about the Guinness league but I know I’ll get useful tips from you helpful people at Sharksworld.
The Champions League is MINE!!!
Have we got a spellcheck thingy or did it come with the new Google Chrome thingy?
@blackshark (Comment 33) :
Me neither – but I like eeny meeny miny mo!! 😆
Hello all. I see nothing has changed from the good old days when Ice used to ramble on?
Not sure if I am doing this right. What happened to the Sharks blog? Did they get tired of all the abuse?
I chose Leicester Tigers for the tiger and then I saw it is where Heinecke and Hougaard are hoping to establish the English version of the Blue Bulls. 😳
@KSA Shark © (Comment 31) : Woohooo 1 out of 2 for me!
@Silver Fox (Comment 37) : Wonder what their song is going to be?
@Amateur (Comment 35) : You are really an amateur if you take Ice on. 😈
@Amateur (Comment 36) : pretty much. Welcome to the site
@PJLD(RIP Bernie Mac) (Comment 39) : Ek bly ‘n Tier
@Amateur (Comment 35) :
AM!!! Good to see you, Ol’ friend, Ol’ Pal!!! 😎
@Silver Fox (Comment 40) : 😉
@Amateur (Comment 36) :
Am – something to that affect – ja…
thats super bru
Ok…just joined both… LIVERPOOL!!! BATH!!!
@I’ce (Rebel With a Cause) (Comment 34) : Hey Ice!! This amateur person talks about the good OLD days. Heheheheeee!!
@blackshark (Comment 33) : must be a Chrome thing. The site looks KAK in Chrome, though… I guess I will need to fix it
@Amateur (Comment 35) :
Am – only difference – here I ramble and they ignore me…*sniff sniff* At least at SR I was considered sacred… 😉
@Silver Fox (Comment 46) :
Figure of speech… 😉
Ok seeming we are alll shouting our affiliations
Manchester United – Saracens
@PJLD(RIP Bernie Mac) (Comment 39) : @robdylan (Comment 42) : 😆
@robdylan (Comment 29) : Sad but true. Makes it such a schlep to go watch. Only been to Wasps 2 or 3 times.
@Amateur (Comment 36) : hey amateur, long time no speak. finally some intelligence here. yes the sharks blog was closed down as the union was worried the players would sue them due to defamatory remarks made on the blog. they were worried that the blog could be seen as the mouth piece of the union.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 31) : Wasps are the champs. Been there forever.
@robdylan (Comment 47) : I had it all along on my old google bar. 😕
@robdylan (Comment 47) : Yeah…some things are out of place…but it’s not so bad.
@try time (Comment 53) :
It takes an intelligent person to recognise another…now in that case – how the hell would you know if Am is intelligent or not?? 😈
@Silver Fox (Comment 37) :
so when you changing to Bath? Butch James and Michael Claasens halfback pairing. should satisfy both you and the missus. 😉
@McLovin (Comment 54) :
Seems sportinglife thinks bath will end first and then win the comp after the playoffs. 😎
GO BATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@KSA Shark © (Comment 58) : Can I??? 😕
I like the team with the yellow colours. 😎
Have you read my comments on Butch? 👿
Hi to everyone.Good to be here.
I was winning the Super Bru thing for the tri-nations until this last saturday.Who would have guessed that result?????
TT, long time man.
I am not too clued up on the strength of the various English clubs but have always had an interest in Bath for some reason.
@Amateur (Comment 61) :
We live in the modern world, AM..I should hope we all have an interest in BATH… 😉
@I’ce (Rebel With a Cause) (Comment 62) : classic 😉
Would anyone like me to post some of the new signings from each of the teams in the Guiness Premiership?
Gloucester finished top of the regular season but then got pumped by Leicester in the semi’s!
RobD
Wasps train in Acton…so you can go watch them train! 😉
And technically Watford is North London, falls just inside!
@Villie (Comment 64) : yes please!
Okay cool.
I will do it in a few parts.
Harlequins have added Nick Evans (could be a top signing), Gonzalo Tiesi, Waisea Luveniyali and of course Epi Taione.
Sale are my tips for the top this season. They’ve made a few astute signings in Mathew Tait and Dwayne Peel and have also added Kristian Ormsby and Andy Tuilagi.
Bath have signed Stuart Hooper (Leeds), Shontayne Hape (Bradford Bulls rugby league) And Justin Harrison
Gloucester – Greg Somerville, Ollie Barkley (Bath) and Matthew Watkins
Leicester obviously have Heyneke Meyer as coach now and have signed Liefling, Toby Flood (Newcastle), Craig Newby
Wasps – Mark Robinson (Northampton) and Serge Betsen but have lost Lawrence Dallaglio (retired)
Saracens – Steve Borthwick (Bath), Wikus Van Heerden, Brad Barritt (joining later), Ben Jacobs (Waratahs) and Michael Owen
Northampton have made some of the most interesting signings including Ben Foden (Sale), Nils Mordt (London Irish), Neil Best and Ignacio Fernadez Lobbe.
Worcester – Chris Latham and Hal Luscombe. Thinus Delport has gone to Japan
Newcastle – Adam Balding (Gloucester) Tane Tuipoluto (Wellington)
Bristol and London Irish have made some signings but no big names that I can think of.
These have all been taken off the top of my head, so I may have missed people out!
@Villie (Comment 69) : Villie, if that was all taken off the top of your head, you seem to be quite in formed about this competition??? 💡 💡
@Silver Fox (Comment 70) :
🙂
Silver, go here http://www.sportinglife.com/rugbyunion/news/ and have a look at the right hand sidebar near the top will be a club by club link. with all the predictions and movements in it.
I based my predictions on their predictions with 2 points per position difference. So if a team has been predicted to finish 3rd plays a team that has been predicted to 7th then they have a log difference of 4 and i picked the higher team to win by 8.
So 3rd plays 7th = 4 place diff. 4 x 2 = 8.
Confusing but seems about the best way to predict for the first round 😳
Why?? We would like it if someone reliable and unbiased can keep us more or less in the picture with games being played. I have nothing more than the following in mind:
Log: Points: Comment:
1) London Wasps 8 Played out of their skins by beating
Leicester Tigers over the weekend.
2) London Irish 8 Underperformed, but still managed to
beat Bath comprehensively.
3) Newcastle 6 Played well, just beaten by inform
Bristol.
Catch my drift?
Leicester Tigers over the weekend
Now I know Rob are favourably placed, but I also know he is way too busy.
Also way too biased. Bath will lose by 50 points and he will tell us how Barritt singlehandedly demolished the opposition. 🙄
Any volunteers? I would have if I could have seen the games, for you clever guys waiting to pull a funny one here.
@Silver Fox (Comment 72) : ❓ No I’m confused. ❓
Hey I gotta go out for the morning. It’s weekend 😎
be back later.
@Silver Fox (Comment 73) :
We will also only seeing the odd game maybe two or three per round.
Maybe we can rope McLovin or Villie in for a weekly wrap. 😉
okay I’m off
@KSA Shark © (Comment 71) : Funny helpfull man. I was banking on you to come through, though not as early as in spoiling my well setup plan. 😈 😀
@Silver Fox (Comment 77) :
Leiciester’s new coach Heyneke Meyer proved himself to be one of the team when he ruptured his achilles tendon during training.
😯
@McLovin (Comment 79) : Will they have to play with 14 men then? 😯
@Silver Fox (Comment 70) :
SF, I live in the UK, I follow rugby. I have a sports reporter background. I tend to remember things when it comes to sports. Also I only posted the major signings and the ones that I could remember.
However if you think that was good…ask me anything about players in English football…from Premier league to Coca Cola league 2! 😉 I have followed it and in detail since I was a few years old and done a lot of reporting on it!
My wife will divorce me if I watch ANY more rugby. 😥 Anyway good luck to all 😉
@Pokkel (Comment 82) : hehehe. I don’t watch ALL the games but I do read the match reports afterwards. I watch a fair bit but there is just not enough time to watch all the rugby, footy and cricket! 😆
@Pokkel (Comment 82) :
Hey it’s during our off season. 😉 It gives you something to do over the summer (if you are in the SH)
Okay only 24 hours to kick-off in the premiership.
Make sure you get as many points as possible by joining in round 1.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 85) : A bit disappointing to see only 12 Sharksworld Bloggers keen for a challenge. 🙁
@Silver Fox (Comment 86) :
We don’t need to be greedy. 😉 On the other site where we were before our first few SB comps only had numbers in the teens as well.
We will get a few more in the season. The 95 we have in the CC is a record for any SB pool as far as i’m aware so it’s not something that will happen every time 🙁
@KSA Shark © (Comment 87) : Funny man, I’m not greedy, just looking for healthy competition. Worthy actually. 😀
Oh, and Keo are the biggest group. I know, I’m in Keo Muppets. 😳 😳 😳
@Silver Fox (Comment 86) :
Rather..also not many into the round ball version..its going to be one helluva football season.
Man City spending serious dollars for Robinio too.
Not going to matter much though cause Wengers boys are going to walk the Champions league..incredible how he just keeps churning out good players after losing so many.
@Silver Fox (Comment 88) :
😯
I see that
1) Keo 106
2) Sharksworld 95
3) Goue Bokke 62
@KSA Shark © (Comment 90) : Did you gotting my entry KSA ?
@KSA Shark © (Comment 90) : But I’m not a muppet by a long shot. I only joined them at the time as they was the biggest group around.
Now why did I deem it necessary to explain….
@Silver Fox (Comment 92) : Why dont you just go join Ruggaworld ❓ ❗
@PJLD(RIP Bernie Mac) (Comment 93) : And leave you lot to yourselves?? I am a responsible guy, after all….
@Silver Fox (Comment 94) : hehehe good times
@PJLD(RIP Bernie Mac) (Comment 91) :
I Didded
@PJLD(RIP Bernie Mac) (Comment 93) :
coz they ain’t NEAR the biggest 😳
@KSA Shark © (Comment 97) : I wonder why that is?
@PJLD(RIP Bernie Mac) (Comment 98) :
hey politics aren’t allowed on here 😉
@PJLD(RIP Bernie Mac) (Comment 95) : 😆
@KSA Shark © (Comment 97) : Funny man. 😆
The muppets do know their predictions though….
are we still limited to three pools on SB or is that 3 pools per comp? I’m entered in 3 CC pools
@walter van transvaal.co.za (Comment 101) :
3 pools per comp.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 102) :
okay cool, will join. Off to go play a bit of golf today..haven’t played for so long that I’m hoping for beginners luck!
First games are this afternoon BTW.
I see there are a few guys who still need to make their picks.
@walter van transvaal.co.za (Comment 103) :
good luck. One game i CAN’T play. Can’t hit anything straight.
Hi all.
@walter van transvaal.co.za (Comment 103) : Just goes to show how a huge win can inspire a man. Makes you feel invincible? 😀
@KSA Shark © (Comment 104) : Pool are shaping up a bit. 🙂
@Silver Fox (Comment 107) :
yup 😎
@walter van transvaal.co.za (Comment 103) :
approved
@KSA Shark © (Comment 109) :
I’m going to struggle in this one…not sure about the makup and history of some of the teams…LOL!
@walter van transvaal.co.za (Comment 110) :
The Preview thread is helpfull and I will post a link there now on the way i made my picks 🙂
@KSA Shark © (Comment 108) : 15 on such short notice are not too bad. And in a foreign league…

@KSA Shark © (Comment 145) : And they slept peacefully ever after….
@Silver Fox (Comment 146) :
No they were just to keen to play on the new beds 😆
L shaped bunk beds.
