Toulouse scrumhalf Byron Kelleher, Sale’s Kristian Ormsby and Rudi Keil have been cited for incidents in last weekend’s Heineken Cup matches, tournament organisers said on Tuesday.
Reuters reports that former All Black Kelleher was charged with allegedly stamping Bath’s South African flyhalf Butch James in his side’s 18-16 win on Saturday.
Sale replacement centre Keil was cited for an alleged dangerous tackle on centre Benoit Baby during Saturday’s opening 32-15 win at Clermont Auvergne while lock Ormsby is in trouble for the alleged punching of another lock Julien Pierre.
All three will appear before an independent disciplinary committee in Dublin on Thursday.
Sale centre Lee Thomas has been ruled out for three months after suffering a severe dislocation of his shoulder in the bonus point victory, the English side said on their website (www.salesharks.com).

I didn’t see this incident, but noticed Kelleher seemed intent on upsetting Claasens with constant little pushes & shoves. Especially during the first half.
Close match, that Bath should have won.

@PJLD (Comment 2) : Not complaining. Just saying it was more noticable than usual.
@McLovin (Comment 3) : Aaaah.
I still remember the first time i learnt the harsh realities of playing against a “scrummy” type scrummy, dude had me beaten from the get go and was then ran was super cool after the game.
Been a fan of the Ricki/Rory etc type scrummie ever since.Turned into a bit of a baastit on the field myself after that.
@PJLD (Comment 4) : I like a scrummy with attitude. But only if he’s playing for my team. 😉
Keil dagerously tackled a Baby 😈

I wasn’t overly excited when Kelleher came to Toulouse but I have to say he’s impressed me both on and off the field.
@McLovin (Comment 1) :

He must have learnt it from Marshall
