It has finally happened. We finally have a repeat performer, in the MVP stakes of the Sharksworld Guinness Premiership Superbru competition.

This week’s MVP is Whindy and he is also the first player to manage a second MVP in our pool. Whindy managed to score almost a full point more than those chasing him in second place. The last time Silver Fox was a longdropper he went on to be MVP the following round, This week he has to share second MVP spot with Milissa on 6,5 points for the round. Superviv scores one point more than last week, and manages to make 4th MVP his own for a second week. I don’t usually mention the 5th placed MVP but this week’s turn around by Walt from being last week’s LVP to being 5th MVP this week is almost as big a turn around as the Reds thumping the Bulls in the S14 2008. Well Done Walt.

Top 5 MVPs
Whindy – 7,3
Silver Fox – 6,5
Milissa – 6,5
Superviv – 6,0
Walt – 5,5
Bergbok – 5,5

This week’s form is a bit screwy with the tournament organizers not entering the percentage of correct picks made by the punters for the last three matches. I can tell you though that amongst our Sharksworld punters the number of correct picks in those last three matches were always in the majority. I was not in that majority very often, and only got one of those last three correct. 🙁

There is one name change in the top 10 for this week. Whindy comes back in after a two week absence courtesy of that MVP performance of his. Villie seems to have no intention of letting anyone near him at the top, extending his lead by a further 0,49 points to have an overall lead of 5,66 points this week. Sandshark is bumped off second spot with a performance that can be called nothing more than mediocre. Silver Fox makes a sneak attack from behind and takes 2nd, followed closely by Superviv in 3rd. Milissa’s back to back good performances sees her slot into 5th, her highest position yet.

This week’s Rocket, or should that be “surprise attack” goes to Silver Fox. A four position jump sees Silver Fox leap into 2nd spot from 6th.

It is worth a mention that less than one point separates the 2nd to 4th and a just slightly more than one point separates 5th to 9th places on the table. |One wrong selection could be the difference between 2nd and 4th place. Ask me, I have firsthand experience of that.

This weeks dubious honour of being the Sharksworld longdrop goes to CSBok with a drop of 5 positions to 13th. See what happens when you go on vacation and leave your PC unattended… … …

Top 10 after Round 8

1 Villie – 46,33
2 Silver Fox – 40,67
3 Superviv – 40,58
4 Sandshark – 39,83
5 Milissa – 38,75
6 Blackshark – 37,92
7 Robdylan – 37,58
8 Bergbok – 37,42
9 Whindy – 37,08
10 Debs – 35,58

There is now a two weekend break as the teams take part in the Heineken Cup competition. The next Guinness Premiership matches are on 20 December.
