@Charlie (Comment 1) :
Is he related to Adi? 🙂
Trevor Nyankane Golden?
David Bulbring?
Interesting surnames. 🙄
Is it bul-bring or bulb-ring?
@McLovin (Comment 4) :
@McLovin (Comment 3) :
I had to correct others that they didn’t seperate the Union from the players name.
i think the golden belongs to the Lions in the next line. 😀 let me fix that.
LOL – SARU are such tossers! Where’s Patrick Lambie?
@robdylan (Comment 7) :
WHO is Patrick Lambie?
@KSA Shark © (Comment 6) : Thought so. 😆
Yaasir Hartzenberg ❓
Would love to know the story behind that name. Name doesn’t seem very Afrikaans yet the surname is 100% Afrikaans
@KSA Shark © (Comment 8) : SA Schools fullback for two years running, from Michaelhouse. Would’ve expected him to be in the Under 20 group
@robdylan (Comment 11) :
Oh Okay cool.
Could it not be coz he is to young still?
@KSA Shark © (Comment 12) :
Hey NO wait, haven’t they done away with U/19 and u/21 to have ONE agegroup level of u/20?
@KSA Shark © (Comment 13) : ?
I think they may have.
BTW – go check out “the project”
@robdylan (Comment 14) :
cool
4 Paarl Gimmies in this squad, two fatties Rossouw de Klerk from the Brutes now & the U19 still in 2009 Ruaan Smith, also two midfielders, Stokkies Hankom’s son Nicolas & the talented Johann Sadie. One Paarl Boishaaier Hartzenberg.
Pretty glad Ruaan isnt wearing the Convict jersey.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 10) : I knew a good few Hartzenbergs who wouldnt fit in too well in Oranje
I’ve never met anyone with the surname Hartzenberg. 🙄
@McLovin (Comment 18) : Hartenzenberg is actually a coloured player, following in Guthro Steenkamps footsteps. Big losie combo lock. All the talent but a lazy Galpil.
Rossouw de Klerk a hard worker and Gimmie captain in 2007. Still sad we lose him to the Brutes. Johann Sadie very talented and got provincial colours for Boland in 5 different sports as a U13 and Nicolas Hanekom the son of Stokkies. Think all of them still in the Stormers squad at the moment.
@PaarlBok (Comment 20) : Rossouw de Klerk? What is it with those okes and the two surname thing? Fourie du Preez? Botha Rossouw? Schutte Bekker… it just goes on!
Myself know Rossouw’s parents quite well. His mum was a teacher at KleinGim. Myself quite upset he went to the brutes but his dad say” Thats the fatty factory” and trust me he was a onder Hoofseun at Gimmies and have some great leadership qualities. Write that name down, in Paarl they saw him as a future Bok captain.
@robdylan (Comment 21) : Usually thats a cobination of the mum and dad’s surnames. Its a Boer habit to go that route. Twee vliee met een klap sort off.
@PaarlBok (Comment 23) : Verstaan.
Pity that so many see Bruteville as the best place to learn frontrow play. Last time I checked, the Sharks had the best front row in the country.
@robdylan (Comment 21) : I don’t get it either. 🙄
@PaarlBok (Comment 23) : That makes sense. In fact one of my cousins has my surname as a middle name. 🙂
Think a Cronje/Ebersohn/Sadie/Stokkies combo will be great
@McLovin (Comment 26) : poor bugger 🙂
@robdylan (Comment 28) : another of my cousins has my first name as a middle name. 🙄
@robdylan (Comment 28) : Not a very creative family. 🙄
@PaarlBok (Comment 27) : wish I could figure out what the OTHER Cronje is doing wrong
@robdylan (Comment 31) : Look like Sauls like to pick only one twin. Myself have seen this in the past when the selectors pick the wrong one. Always safer to pick both.
Paarlbok, Do you have any contacts within the Boland Athletics Union?
@PJLD (Comment 17) :
😆
