Veteran Lions lock Jannes Labuschagne has had his long-awaited return to Super rugby delayed by at least 6 weeks.
Labuschagne apparently had knee surgery on Tuesday and will be out of action at least that long. Anton van Zyl and Gerhardt Mostert will be the Lions first choice lock pair in Labuschagne’s absence, with the Leopards’ Ligtoring Landman as backup.
Big Jannes will probably best be remembered for his disastrous last test, where his sending off for a high tackle on Johnny Wilkinson was instrumental in the Boks going down by 50 points.

this is bad news for them.
lol you know you’re in dire straits when the loss of a Golden oldie is a problem.
Hey Robd I hear and see the odd snowfall has hit your part of the world..you well?
@CoffeeShopBok;-) (Comment 3) : very well… it’s been beautiful here.
I can imagine .
Mostert and Senekal are still out injured…so this is bad news for us. One of my web visitors spotted Willem Stoltz at the airport today..wonder if it was an sos…LOL!
Yeh like that one tackle made the dif in us losing by 50!??!
And it was not a high tackle…it was a late tackle…
Where is Senekal!??!
Moster and Senekal will be a mean starting pair with Van Zyl as replacement!!!!
Senekal is still out injured, will only be ready in March
