The Cheetahs finish their tour of Australasia with a Dunedin meeting against the Highlanders.
The Highlanders have 1 win from 5 this season while the Cheetahs have had even worse luck and are sitting winless at the bottom of the log.
Will the Cheetahs finally get lucky just before they finally come home?
Or will it be the Highlanders who show that the win over the Crusaders 2 weeks ago was anything but luck?

@Claytie (Comment 11) :
Why do I feel a DARK day coming for LMS?
You can just go ahead and remove my comment
@KSA Shark © (Comment 13) :hehehe You know if Jongi was on the field instead of Demas the blikore would of had much more points
@Claytie (Comment 14) : 🙂
@Claytie (Comment 15) :
You would think this would be a game that Drotske would TARGET as a win.
HALF TIME
Highlanders 5 – 8 Cheetahs

Daniller makes a strong run in midfield and they take it through the phases. But Demas is driven back in the tackle and the Highlanders turn it over.
Highlanders Try!
The Highlanders win a penalty for a high tackle and they opt for a line-out.
Bowden grubbers and the Cheetahs can’t control it.
Israel Dagg dots down and the call goes to the TMO – he rules it is a try.

i would rather have daniller than stefan
daniller makes stefan look like a girl.
@try time (Comment 25) :
But to put that comment into perspective, you ALSO think the best referee in the world is a useless referee. 😛
but i wouldn’t have de bruyn
@KSA Shark © (Comment 27) : only when he blows a sharks game.
seeing that there is only you and me online, i’ll admit. i like kaplan. i just find he allows players to enter from the side. he also seems to have a little thing against the sharks. some of it is justified though as muller does seal off the ball and kaplan hates that.
😀 @try time (Comment 29) :
but i will never admit that in public.
@try time (Comment 30) :
🙂
i still think mark lawrence is the better ref
about 60min on the clock.
Is this where the tide turns completely?
it is when the sharks play. this is where they get into the lead and then sleep, cos plum is too thick to replace exhausted players.
@try time (Comment 34) :
I wouldn’t want to make the call between the two of them.
BOTH manage games excellently.
Lawrence used to have a propensity for producing cards willy nilly. (am glad that is not the case anymore)
my ref world rankings
mark
jonathon
joubert/jonker (they are on a par)
dickenson (as long as he isnt blowing the waratahs)
@KSA Shark © (Comment 35) :
Seems I may be right
Highlanders TRY!!!!!!!!
@KSA Shark © (Comment 37) : yes but as seen with the tough defences, cards don’t lead to runaway scores, so i would like to see more used. i am sick of the breakdowns being such a mess.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 39) :
George Naoupu busts through the Cheetahs’ lacklustre defence and hands off to Steven Setephano, who first crashes into the upright and then rolls over the line.
The call goes to the TMO, who says the try is good.
Berquist adds the conversion
Highlanders 20 – 8 Cheetahs
62min
hey you seem to have a big delay, the try happened 5 minutes ago
daniel bowden is leaving the field
@try time (Comment 40) :
I am talking from the days when Lawrence was still refereeing CC and VC games. He has come a loooooong way since then.
The breakdowns are a mess because SANZAR S14 decided to have inbred ELVs rather than world ELVs.
Giving only a FK away for infringing on the ground is something I would expect an ignoramous to come up with.
@try time (Comment 42) :
i DO have a big delay 😆
thomson try.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 45) :
It’s called multi tasking AND a slow connection at the office. 🙁
@KSA Shark © (Comment 44) : yes but look how poorly the nh rugby is reffed with the full elvs, that is hardly an advertisement for the game.
67 minutes 27-8
@try time (Comment 46) :
That is the Highlanders’ BP try. 🙁
I was having visions of glory for the Cheetahs for a few minutes early on in this game.
naka droske needs the boot these players are skilled, they just aren’t being fine tuned.
@try time (Comment 48) :
Yes but they are kak referees with kak players in kaka playing conditions.
The CC had the same ELVs as the rest of the world and it looked pretty good to me.
@try time (Comment 51) :
he’s gonna get the boot and then get bliksemed for messing with someone elses missus. 😆
sa coaches are shocking. sa rugby needs to hire top class international coaches inc meyer to train promising coaches. this ridiculous attitude of getting in experienced ex players is a joke.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 52) : exactly because the sa refs are tough, thats my argument, these elvs will also work if the refs had some balls.
@try time (Comment 54) :
But it’s working so well for England and the Crusaders? 😆
i want more cards, the cheating players will soon clean up the game.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 56) : yeah nz let their rugby decline horribly. talk about not investing while successful. england can say the same.
@try time (Comment 57) :
No. Cards screw the match-up up.
PK players for infringing on the ground like the rest of the world does and they will stop doing it. Only giving away FKs has the players conditioned to doing it and not being too concerned about the consequences and that then leads to a ref saying “F^&*k you guys “I’LL” clean the breakdown up.”
another try to the highlanders.
Cheetahs making LMS WAY to easy. 😕
@KSA Shark © (Comment 59) : cards will only be used as long as the players cheat. coaches will soon train their players to do things the right way. currently look at who the ref is , they know what he doesn’t penalise and they cheat as much as they can. use cards more the players will soon clear up the breakdowns creating a beautiful game to watch.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 61) : i forgot i had highlanders as my lms team, i was shouting for cheetahs.
game over 32-8

Cheetahs go nowhere
ok i will catch you later, i have to take my son to dads and tots today, and then i have to go to a wedding. guess who is missing the sharks game. in a way though i am pleased as i can’t watch their poor rugby skills much longer. so much talent in one team that is on a self destruct game plan.
@try time (Comment 66) :
For some reason I have a meeting in my lounge during the Sharks game today, so i won’t be missing it.
Cheers. Enjoy.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 67) : lucky you and i made your day better as i won’t be here to ruin the game with my anti stefan quips. have fun and chat soon. 😆
@try time (Comment 68) :
😆
Cheers.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 67) :
With your ‘secretary’ in her black pants I bet?
@bryce_in_oz (Comment 70) :

Nope she is at work, and he students might find it a bit strange if she ain’t in the classroom. 😉
Come on SHARKS!
FOK DEON man…what was that?
@blackshark (Comment 73) :
You want me to email you the url for the Sharks thread? 😉
Well done JP…
