Up to #13 this Backline is perfect IMO. 14 and 15 are the concerns for me.
Percy, AJ & Human. That must surely be a record in terms of old people.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 1) : #14 is a major concern to me.
@McLovin (Comment 2) :
old people 😆
HOW many players are over 30 in this team?
AJ
Percy
Human?
De Waal?
Rickie?
We playing the crusaders again? 😉
Bwhahahahaha
Stormers don’t give birth dates on their player profiles. 😆
Clever move.
@molly (Comment 6) :
i like to see them lose. 😳
so no Percy in the 22?
These backs are a bunch of bullets
9. Januarie turned 27 this year.
10. Grant turns 25 this year.
11. Kalie turns 29 this year
12. Jean turned 28 this year
13. Bobo turns 30 this year ( 😯 thought he was younger)
14. Human turned 30 this year
15. Jantjes turned 29 this year
21. De Waal turned 31 this year
22. Des Fountain turnes 24 this year.
23. Percy turned 35 this year.
Out wide where they need the speed the players need to be ON speed to get going.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 10) : Human only 30. 😯 Would have thought he was 35 at least.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 10) :
They get older the wider they go in the backline.
It used to be the older you got the closer you moved to the scrum, at the stormers it is, the older you get the closer you move to the stands. 😉
@KSA Shark © (Comment 10) : what an old backline – Grant must feel like spring chicken. I thought they have plenty of talent down in Cape.
Go Stormers 😛 – the Waratahs are too high up on the log 🙄
but it’s big ask Tahs has good home record they only loose to Crusaders there, no matter how badly Crusaders play
@KSA Shark © (Comment 10) : ouch… the only one who’s actually older than me is Percy 🙂
@rekinek (Comment 14) :
Tahs’ Home record against the Stormers
Played 5, Tahs Lost 3
@robdylan (Comment 15) :
they are ALL younger than me. 😳
Eish i am starting have serious disagreements with Rassie – Surely the logic would be to put Monty at 15 and Conrad at 14 – and send Wylie off to the retirement paddock.
Monty fluffs occasionally – but hell he doesn’t miss the polls and is a lot better than Wylie the Human
Overall record between the Tahs and the Stormers.
Played 11
Stormers won 6
Tahs won 4
Draws 1 (last year – 13:13 in CT)
@Worcestershire Sauce (Comment 18) :
logic ❓ That is your answer right there.
Dude, Rassie should be refered to as ‘Executive’ Head Coach!!! 😉
@KSA Shark © (Comment 20) : I reckon Rassies becoming an Eight Ball coach
@wpw (Comment 21) : Sounds like plausible deniability
@Worcestershire Sauce (Comment 18) :
Didn’t De Waal miss an easy kick at goal last week???
Why is Percy not kicking??? His kicking won us the RWC in 2007. 😯
@KSA Shark © (Comment 16) : which Stormers
@Worcestershire Sauce (Comment 18) : with this logic both monty and conrad could actually join wylie 😆
@wpw (Comment 23) : 😯
I thought Butch James was the RWC kicker for the Boks.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 26) : Nah Monty Kicked all the points in the final.
@rekinek (Comment 25) : Yea but i reckon they both better out of our selection of the oldies
@KSA Shark © (Comment 26) : Didn’t you watch ❓ was it too stressful 😆
@KSA Shark © (Comment 26) :
Percy kicked at goal dude.
Percy (a WP player) won the RWC for South Africa. 😎
@wpw (Comment 23) : Like i said i reckon Rassie consults his eight ball before coming up with his paln.
@Worcestershire Sauce (Comment 27) : naaaah – u forgot about fransie’s 3.
I agree that Monty would do much better than Wylie. But not so much because of the place kicking – I do not think that Stormers problem lies in this department – it’s the other kicking
@wpw (Comment 29) :
SA needed a pretty boy image for the RWC. 😆
@wpw (Comment 29) : that spend the S14 directly proceeding RWC with certain other franchise to get up to speed
@rekinek (Comment 33) :
Precisely, he only moved to the retirement village after the RWC. 😉
@rekinek (Comment 33) :
shurrup!!! 😈
@KSA Shark © (Comment 34) :
@wpw (Comment 35) : are u talking to me
@rekinek (Comment 37) :
😳 🙄
@McLovin (Comment 2) :
What’s even more worrying is that Percy is STILL better than Goose-step…
Big mistake by Rassie not keeping Percy and slotting Goose-step on the wing…
Stormers to go yet another weekend without assisting the Bulls and Sharks!
@bryce_in_oz (Comment 39) :
Clearly you did not watch the match last week where Percy was pretty average.
You have never liked Conrad since he made the Boks and yet he was the form SA fullback during last year’s S14.
Yes he is going through a bad patch and was pretty average during last year’s tests but give the guy a break for goodness sake.
Every player goes through rough patches, dont they??
And lay off the Stormers players!!! 👿
