Gloucester hooker Olivier Azam is to reappear before Rugby Football Union disciplinary chiefs following a review of his dismissed citing.
The case against Azam for allegedly making contact with the eyes or eye area of Blues centre Jamie Roberts during the EDF Energy Cup final was dismissed by a panel earlier this week because the citing was officially submitted too late.
But RFU disciplinary officer Judge Jeff Blackett has reviewed the matter and Azam has been summoned to attend a new hearing in Coventry next Thursday.

Sharksworld Note: This case was dismissed on the same grounds as Sione Lauaki’s. For the late submission of the citing report. It will be interesting to see if SANZAR take a similar stance.

I would love to see how the RFU get around this.
If the case was dismissed then it was dismissed surely. How on earth are they going to sanction the guy and more importantly what are they going to sanction him for?
