Vodacom Blue Bulls fullback Zane Kirchner and flank Dewald Potgieter have been invited to train with the Springboks this week.

The Boks’ first session of the week took place in Fourways on Tuesday morning. The pair were part of the Emerging Springboks team that held the British & Irish Lions to a 13-13 draw at Newlands in Cape Town last Tuesday.
“Zane and Dewald impressed against the Lions and we felt there was an opportunity to invite them to training this week with a view to their possible future involvement in the Springbok squad,” said coach Peter de Villiers.
The Springbok team to face the Lions at Coca-Cola Park on Saturday will be announced on Thursday.

Kirchner did not impress ME2 in that game…thought he was out of his depth!
