Western Province head coach Allister Coetzee has made three changes to his team to play unbeaten Griquas in a Premier Division Currie Cup match in Kimberley on Friday afternoon.

At scrumhalf Dewaldt Duvenage is back in place of Conrad Hoffman who started against the Leopards last weekend. Loosehead prop JD Moller moves to the bench to make way for the return of Wickus Blaau who was rested, and Chris Jack takes the place of Hilton Lobberts at lock.

Lock Adriaan Fondse has recovered from his injury sustained in the second half of the Super 14 competition and makes a welcome return to the side, where he will start off the bench.

WP team: Joe Pieterse, Tonderai Chavhanga, Juan De Jongh, Peter Grant, Gio Aplon, Willem De Waal, Dewaldt Duvenage, Luke Watson (capt.), Duane Vermeulen, Francois Louw, Anton Van Zyl, Chris Jack, Brok Harris, Tiaan Liebenberg, Wicus Blaauw.
Replacements: Deon Fourie, JD Moller, Adriaan Fondse, Pieter Louw, Conrad Hoffmann, Morgan Newman, Frikkie Welsh.

  • I think griquas are about to end their winning streak, but will STILL be top of the log courtesy of the big lead they have already.
