The Xerox Lions have made three changes to their squad to take on the Sharks in an Absa Currie Cup rugbymatch at Coca-Cola Park Saturday at 17:05.
Both teams come off the back of victories over two of the smaller Unions away from home, The Sharks defeating the Leopards 44-15 last weekend in Rustenburg and the Lions with a 19-13 victory over Boland in Wellington.
The Lions with 15 log points are three points adrift of the Sharks on 18. The Sharks have won one extra game, but the home side have three bonus points to the opposition’s two.
The team shows just three changes to the starting line-up from last week’s victorious team, Dusty Noble coming in for Shandre Frolick on the wing and Herkie Kruger back from injury to start at flyhalf in the place of Ruan Boshoff in the only changes to the backline.
Amongst the forwards, the loose trio remains intact as does the front row, with the only change at lock where Willem Stoltz replaces Johan Snyman.
Lions: Earl Rose; Dusty Noble, Alwyn Hollenbach, Doppies la Grange, Henno Mentz; Herkie Kruger, Jano Vermaak; Willem Alberts, Franco van der Merwe, Cobus Grobbelaar (capt), Willem Stoltz, Nico Luus, Gert Muller, Hans Van Dyk, JC Janse van Rensburg.
Replacements – Derek Harwood, Kevin Buys, Wouter Moore, Todd Clever, Derek Minnie, Pieter Engelbrecht, Ruan Boshoff

Ok – this is definitely not Lionsworld.
Lions not looking weak at all – still going to be one of those tough away games. Go Sharks.
@blackshark (Comment 1) :
What does that mean?
@walter van Lions World (Comment 2) : this is Sharksworld… I’m sure you know where Lions World is? 🙂
@robdylan (Comment 3) :
Looks like the people at Lionsworld is split between people that think we are going to kick butt tomorrow, and people that think we are going to get our butts kicked…what do you guys think?
I’m with the 2nd group…unfortunately
@blackshark (Comment 1) :
Cos no-one was paying attention to this thread… 🙂
@walter van Lions World (Comment 4) : I don’t really know what to expect from you guys… still, I’m pretty confident. I don’t think we’ll win by a huge margin, but I’m not anticipating a loss either
@robdylan (Comment 6) : these are traditionally very difficult games for the sharks to win, i hope they have learnt their lesson in the super14 and keep their concentration and perform, the sharks look to have it on paper, but . . . as they say . . . the game is not played on paper
Herkie Kruger? 😕
@walter van Lions World (Comment 2) :
This thread was up since last night and not a single comment was made on the thread. 😛
