Bulls coach Frans Ludeke has recalled as many of his first-choice forwards as are available to him for Saturday’s away clash against the Lions. The Bulls played a virtual B-team against the Leopards last weekend.
Jaco Engels, Derrick Kuün and Werner Kruger return to the front row, with the hooker taking over the captaincy from caretaker Dewald Potgieter, who retains the number 8 jersey. Wilhelm Steenkamp replaces Fudge Mabetha at lock, with former Free Stater Flip van der Merwe the only tight-five survivor. Pedrie Wannenberg and Dewald Stegmann complete a formidable loose trio.
Burton Francis will hang onto the flyhalf jersey this week, with Francois Brümmer named on the bench. Francois Hougaardt will be at scrumhalf, with Marius Delport named on the left wing in place of the unlucky Akona Ndungane, who broke his leg against the Leopards. Zane Kirchner hangs onto the number 15 jersey, with Tiger Mangweni on the bench.
Vodacom Blue Bulls: Zane Kirchner; Gerhard van den Heever, Jaco Pretorius, Stefan Watermeyer, Marius Delport; Burton Francis, Francois Hougaard; Dewald Potgieter , Pedrie Wannenburg, Deon Stegmann, Wilhelm Steenkamp, Flip van der Merwe, Werner Kruger, Derick Kuün (captain), Jaco Engels. Reserves: Bandise Maku, Frik Kirsten/Dean Greyling, Fudge Mabeta, Jacques Burger, Heini Adams, Francois Brummer, Tiger Mangweni.

Last Man Standing is going to be a bloody mess after this weekend. 16 votes for the Leopards and 15 for Boland.
@MysticShark (Comment 1) : eina!
why would anyone pick that game?
Lions are in such a mess. I doubt very much if Jake`s Winning Ways will save them on saturday. They`ll be canon fodder . . .
