Ouens, vat Bloubulafrigter ou Fred Lurreke have name a unchange squat for ve game wiff ve blerrie haie by Lostuf on Saterday. Ve 22 what are not good enough to beat WP are going to trys to beat ve Sharks wiff ve same spellpatron and see if it are have different results vis time.
It are noteworthy vat Lurreke have pick anudder prop at reserve scrumhalf – it are a tactic vat ou Pietie “the snor” Devilliers are using at national level and ou Fransie are lank keen to show vat he are up to date wiff ve latest techniques and strategies. Dean Greyling are call “MacGuyver” by his spanmates so it are hopeful vat he will find a way to blow up ve Sharks defence!
Ou Derick Hougaard are once again being played out of position there by wing. It are a shame to mors one of ve greatest flyhalves of the modern era like vat.
It are hopeful vat the Bulle are goings to find ve skrums a bit easier going vis week, as ve Haie cannot currently boast a fastheadprop of ve pedigree and calibre of Brok Harris.

Well WP has beaten both of them in as many weeks.
Tough call to make between these two losers! 😈
@Morné (Comment 1) : BRAVO
@Morné (Comment 1) : oh, but i’m going to bring that one up in a few weeks time 🙂
@robdylan (Comment 3) :
I’ll remind you… 😛
Cape Town – Winston, a homing pigeon, has made history by beating a Telkom ADSL line in delivering 4GB of data from Howick to Hillcrest, outside Durban in just 2 hours 6 minutes and 57 seconds, whereas the ADSL download was “still just under four percent complete” at 11:45.
@robdylan (Comment 3) : @blackshark (Comment 4) :
Like I told some dutchmen recently…
Better prepare yourself for the moment of the very last, and no doubt lasting image you will see of Luke Watson…
The one where he lifts the Currie Cup…
Oh the irony in that will be something!
@robdylan (Comment 3) :
Oh and you can remind me, IF you make it to the semi’s!!! 😈
@Morné (Comment 7) : this is most unlike you, Morras. You really believe WP have the team to take either the Sharks or the Bulls in the semis? What do you base that on?
@robdylan (Comment 8) :
No I don’t.
I am just loving this moment!!! 😈
@robdylan (Comment 8) :
But I will say this.
The perceived gap that the Sharks and Bulls supporters think exists between them and the rest (WP in this case) is not as massive as they think.
The Super 14 results this year proves this.
No doubt there is one, but it is busy closing.
@Morné (Comment 10) : This is true
@Morné (Comment 9) :
Enjoy it… 😛
You’ve landed 2 jabs to nothing – in Round 1 and 2…but this will only end when someone is KO’d…
@provincejoulekkading (Comment 11) : BUT I BELIEVE
@blackshark (Comment 12) :You know this one?
Now watch me rip the tat from your arm
Kick you in the groin, stick you for your Vanguard award
In front of your mom your 1st, 2nd and 3rd born
Make your wife get on the horn call Minister Farrakhan
So he could persuade me to squash it, I’d saw naw he started it
He forgot what a hardcore artist is
A hardcore artist is a dangerous man, such as myself
trained to run 20 miles in soft sand
On or off land, programmed to kick hundreds of bars off hand
from a lost and forgotten land, you done did it man
You done spitted some wack shshshshshsh
And probably thought that because it’s been a minute I’d forget it?
____ that! ‘Cause like Common and Cube I see The B___ In You
and I’ma make the world see it too,mother….
@Morné (Comment 10) : of course there is a gap, remove 11 first choice players from your team and you naturally have a gap.
But WP are going to find themselves on the receiving end of depth issues when only Schalk comes back and they lose Jack and JDV before long.
@Morné (Comment 10) : let’s see what your pack looks like without Jack…
Score is only just 1-1 with the Bulls’ B-side and WP. Now imagine a showdown between the Bulls’ A side and Weepee in a semi perhaps?
@Pink Oyster (Comment 17) : Oh and that would mean advancing to the Final to play the Sharks for the second year in a row
@Pink Oyster (Comment 17) : Bulls with Bakkies, Spies and Matfield will make WP look pretty ordinary upfront, I’ll predict.
@Baldrick (Comment 15) :
Strange…
Last year when WP lost 14 players to injury and Bok call ups it was pathetic excuses… 😈
Important thing to note here.
Wins have been scored, points are on the board – and as finals have proven (as you Sharkies should know), anything can happen in a play-off.
I prefer going into a play-off as an underdog…
Anycase, I must be off.
Bye all!
Oh before I go.
I know you okes would much rather have your team sit where WP is sitting now!!!
Bulls might not even make the play-offs seeing their upcoming games!!!
Bye-bye
@Morné (Comment 22) : Great parting shot
BTW – is “noteworthy” not a very big word for Piet?? 😈
@Prof. Ice Babe(Super Girl) (Comment 24) : 😀
Just for interest sakes, we may have not lost too many Boks, but we certainly have quite a few newer faces this year and have lost a couple first string players, here’s a quick list:
Bekker
Bobo
Brits
Burger
Jean De Villiers
Des Fountain
De Waal
Fondse (I think he’s played 2 games this season)
Koster
Mujati
Naqelevuki
AJ Venter
Montgomery (debatable – won’t count him in)
That’s 11 players we’re doing ok without.
Can’t believe I included Kallie Woekie in that list 😐
@molly (Comment 27) : I know no Wookie has been a blessing…..and i do like the look of De Jongh
@molly (Comment 26) : Kritzinger
@Worcestershire Sauce (Comment 28) : very impressive, so glad one of our coaches is finally giving the youngsters a go, suppose they’re struggling to find retired players wanting to come back.
Lol, I left Januarie off the list too.
@Morné (Comment 22) : I won’t cry if the Bulls don’t make it. Not sure if we’ll beat them in a play-off game again.
We’ll beat Province.
@robdylan (Comment 32) : didn’t you say that the last 2 times we played you? 😈
@molly (Comment 33) : I did and I was wrong both times. Third time lucky? 🙂
@Morné (Comment 6) :
Hell thats rich coming from a Province supporter. I was at Newlands for the first game this year and Watson was booed relentlessly by you lot, so in fact if he did manage to lift the cup then he will be sticking it to the Bulls and the Newlands faithful equally.
@Salmonoid (Comment 35) :
@Salmonoid (Comment 35) : What about all the other teams’ faithful? 😉
Was there really a lot of booing? Didn’t pick it up on the tv.
Maybe they were shouting Luuuuuuuuuuuuuke. Sounds similiar. 😈
@McLovin (Comment 37) :
Yep there was plenty, not as bad as Loftus but considering it was his home crowd it was enough to be embarrasing. It was probably on par with what Sharks and Bulls kickers are subjected to at Newlands, which is pretty hectic.
@Salmonoid (Comment 39) : Must say I haven’t noticed it anywhere really. But probably not as clear on tv. Was it when he had the ball?
@McLovin (Comment 40) :
It was the worst when the team ran on, waned during the game when the Sharks started getting ascendency, the focus then shifted to Kocket.
Cheers all, home Jerome for me.
@Salmonoid (Comment 41) : Adios
@Morné (Comment 6) : no in your lifetime Morne province choke on little things and whilst its easy to goat i mean gloat when the Province A team beats the bulls and sharks B side in 2 weeks time it will be different you have to play the lions away minus chris jack and Bekker wont be ready. You only get back Scalla which in the current set up is not such great thing-cos you loose either Puke Vermulen or most likely your current boy wonder one more loss and they might not even make the semis Sorry to burst your bubble
WP starts looking competitive and all the anti fans come out in full force, are some people getting nervous? That’s aimed at you @Fattmann (Comment 43) and @Salmonoid (Comment 41).
@molly (Comment 44) : sorry maam not nervious looking forward to the province choke
@Fattmann (Comment 45) : ag man, its been too long for anyone to even remember the last WP choke, and the choke tag is pretty much thrown at every good team. I’ll take it as a compliment.
@Fattmann (Comment 45) : where did the WP choke tag come from anyway?
@Morné (Comment 20) : You aren’t covering yourself in glory with your arguments dude.
The Sharks have 11 boks out with Cilliers possibly out and Herbst definitely out. Kockott has been injured and Hernandez has only just got back to fitness.
And we’re top of the log. Last year Province were where with a similar loss of depth?
Um, bottom of the long drop would be my guess.
@Fattmann (Comment 43) : WP have the Leopards (away), Boland (home) & Kwasse (home) coming up. No chance of them not making the semi’s. 😎
But that as far as I think they’ll go. 😥
Unless they end top and avoid the Bulls/Sharks in the semi’s.
@McLovin (Comment 49) :
Dude, we don’t need to fear anyone. I think we might just surprise a few teams with or without their Boks.
One has to remember most of the Boks have been playing non stop rugby since the beginning of this year.
We do stand a chance of making the final and we might even go all the way. Nothing wrong with being optimistic.
As long as we don’t become arrogant like most Sharks supporters on this site.
@wpw (Comment 50) : reading this thread through, I reckon some of you are already pretty arrogant. Loving it, of course 🙂
@robdylan (Comment 51) :
Morne is not ‘some of us’ 😉
@wpw (Comment 50) : And the name of this site is……?
@Baldrick (Comment 48) :
What arguments?
I dont need to cover myself in any type of glory.
Injuries are part of the game, so are call up’s.
Suck it up.
Worry about the Bulls this weekend.
@Baldrick (Comment 48) :
Last year Province just missed out on a semi…
Hey, this year that might be the Sharks story…
Oh I love it when the Sharkies get nervous.
Better hope your team gets at least a bonus point this weekend.
@Morné (Comment 55) : not gonna matter if we get bonus point or not WP will loose in Bloem
go cheetahs!!!!
@Morné (Comment 55) : after this, we’ll play Free State, Lions and Leopards, all at home, then Griquas away. We can drop this game and still qualify easily. We need this win to finish top, though
@Fattmann (Comment 56) : @willa (Comment 57) :
Now I know you guys are nervous if you start supporting the opposition!!! 😆
@robdylan (Comment 58) :
Of that you can bank a definate 5 from the Leopards…
You do not want to end up playing the 3rd place Bulls while Province plays the Lions in the other semi at Newlands!!!
@Morné (Comment 59) :
What am I saying!!!
LIONS???
Sorry, I meant Griquas!!!
@molly (Comment 44) :
Molly, how can my real life observations of WP supporters schizo behaviour be construed as anti or nerveousness?
@Salmonoid (Comment 61) : yeah, sorry, I actually reread your posts shortly afterwards and didn’t mean to aim that at you. Was hoping you wouldn’t come back here and read that… 😳
@molly (Comment 62) : 😎 , no sweat – its uplifting to meet a Province supporter that can say sorry and blush. 😉
@Morné (Comment 60) : you mean the Cheetahs 🙂
@Salmonoid (Comment 63) : blushing is not so unusual 🙂
@Salmonoid (Comment 61) :
Dude, you seem to think most of the Newlands faithful boo Lukas.
I doubt if even half of them give him the bird. Doesn’t matter though cos all will be forgiven when he lifts the CC trophy!!!
I love the smell of banter in the morning.
I posted it before but either nobody knows the answer or nobody read – so let me try again 😛 :
i have a question –
bokke have 17 points and lets assume that they do not get any more, but all blacks loose to aussies so the bokke win tri-nations.
then – when and where (how?), will the “trophy presentation” take place?
@rekinek (Comment 68) :
Oregan Hoskins will accept it on behalf of SA Rugby and the Boks at the final game between the Aussies and All Blacks.
@provincejoulekkading (Comment 5) : I see Winston is become a world wide figure. Great story.
@Morné (Comment 69) : thanx
bit of anticlimax if this was to be the case 😐
Have we got a sharks team for saturday yet?
@McLovin (Comment 67) :
Ag no we do not really need to banter the Sharks okes…
We already beat them twice!!! 😆
@Morné (Comment 73) :
😈
@Morné (Comment 73) : That’s right. Keep the moral high ground.
@Morné (Comment 69) : won’t that be a huge disappointment.
Just to clear this matter up, though… everyone is saying we only need one point this weekend to claim the trophy. That is not the case. We either need two points, or we need to get 1 point while ensuring New Zealand do not get a bonus point.
@Original Pierre (Comment 72) : nope they are probably still waiting for pat to see if hes fit
@robdylan (Comment 76) : NZ would then also need to wipe out a 40 point points margin in two games.
@wpw (Comment 66) :
Not any more they dont, thus my referal to them as schizo.
@provincejoulekkading (Comment 14) :
Oh yeah – what happened to that psycho anyway?
In 2006 & 2007 we lost without a bonus point. Although 2007 was our ‘b’ side. But in neither match did NZ score four tries.
Only twice in the last ten matches in NZ have NZ scored four tries against us. And in only one of those two games did we fail to get a bonus point.
@Original Pierre (Comment 72) : I suspect it will be announced later today.
They’re waiting to see if they can manage to put Pat Cilliers back together with duct tape
@McLovin (Comment 81) : never go against history as nasty would say – maybe he will tonight
@robdylan (Comment 58) :
I would be, and yes, we need to either lose by less than 7 and NZ not score 4 tries, or just win the damn match outright to win the 3N title.
@robdylan (Comment 76) :
The 2 seems a bit tough …
If we have to los to win – chances are it will be via getting a bonus point and denying the All Blacks
Not sure if it was mentioned anywhere but Morne Steyn broke yet another record on Saturday. He became the quickest Springbok player to reach 100 test points, in his eighth test match.
Considering two or so of his eight test were off the bench, well done young man. 😎
@McLovin (Comment 87) :
I remember that being mentioned during the game – well done Morne !
i’m caught between a rock & a hard place, i hate the sharks but i hate the bulls more! Who must lose this weekend, Hhmmm?
@quota (Comment 89) : what would be the best score for valke
you know us, we don’t like anything below the 50 point mark! 😀
@rekinek (Comment 90) : the best thing for the valke would be to forfeit their game. That way they’ll give up the five points without suffering a hundred-point hiding in the process.
@quota (Comment 89) :
i hate the sharks but i hate the bulls more!
So why are we even debating this?
@quota (Comment 89) :
Weird that you hate the Bulls, you seem to have so much in common. Your hatred of the Sharks though is much appreciated.
@Salmonoid (Comment 94) : me, a lot in common with the bulle? You’re smoking your socks… 😀
@blackshark (Comment 93) : the sharks have windgat supporters galore, so they sort of nullify my total hatred of the bulle…that’s my little conundrum.
@quota (Comment 95) :
Wintgat “galore” 😆 😆
@quota (Comment 95) : I guess if you support the Valke, all other teams’ supporters must seem really arrogant 🙂
@robdylan (Comment 97) : see what i mean!
@quota (Comment 95) : AND WE LOVE IT

@robdylan (Comment 97) : perhaps we should change it to read “assertive” 😉
@rekinek (Comment 100) : more like brash…
@SuperGirl Ice Babe(Wingat because I CAN!) (Comment 96) :
@quota (Comment 95) :
“We won! ” – probably sounds “windgat” to you…but to us it’s just a fact… 😉
@quota (Comment 101) : At least WP supporters aren’t that bad, hey? 😈
@molly (Comment 104) : you reckon 😆
@molly (Comment 104) : ja, when we klapped wp last year, with a bonus point, they’re fans were quite humble 😀
@quota (Comment 106) : gah, thanks… I really needed that reminder. 🙁
@quota (Comment 106) : I remember that game 😆 and Just for the record I always used to support the Valke when they were in the Main CC (sorry this Sharkie gets confused with the 1st division and premier 😳 ), except of course if they were playing against the Sharks! Always support one of the minnows in the comp it makes the comp more exciting when they cause an upset. Again as long as its not against the Sharks.
Let me make a suggestion support the Sharks we are not AS bad as the bulls, and we have Charl McLeod in the team, he was a Valke player shout for him 😉

Cilliers Fit to PlayThursday, September 10, 2009 – 12:02
Patric Cilliers has been included in The Sharks side to take on the Blue Bulls for Saturday’s second round Absa Currie Cup match in a team that shows just one change from last week’s starting lineup.
Sharks Coach John Plumtree has confirmed the good news that Pat Cilliers has come through a final fitness test on the right side of the knee injury he sustained against Boland last week, naming the tighthead prop in the starting lineup.
The only change sees outside centre Andries Strauss back in the side for Waylon Murray who reverts to the bench. There are two changes amongst the replacements with Under 21 tighthead Julian Redelinghuys looking set to make his senior debut, taking the place of Melusi Mthethwa who was named last week. The final change sees scrumhalf Rory Kockott come in for Ross Cronje.
The Pretoria side present a testing challenge this Saturday at Loftus Versveld and both teams are well aware of the need to come away from the clash with as many points as possible. The Sharks won the first round match at The Absa Stadium Durban and will look to make it two from two in the Absa Currie Cup as they seek to remain in a strong log position ahead of the return of their Springboks as well as a tough home clash against Free State next week.
Blue Bulls Coach Frans Ludeke has retained the same starting line-up for this week from the team that lost 25-19 to Western Province last week in the hope that momentum and continuity will arrest the slide that has seen them lose two matches in a row with the danger that a third successive loss could place their semifinal hopes in jeopardy.

@sharks_lover (Comment 110) : you know that I just (seemingly) wasted my time crafting a loving team release article?
@robdylan (Comment 111) : Shame..poor Rob 😥 for you!!!
@Sharksmad – The Blog’s Dudette (Comment 108) : Charl..ex Valke…maybe that’s the real reason he hates us..took the best player they had!!!
