Boeta C our man on the spot insisted that he have a say early this week not because of excitement but because in a few hours he will probably forget what happened this weekend.

Wie het vir julle gese om in die WP se bad te lê!

My bru! When I did woke up on Saturday it looked like a orriter day outside, so I slat on my paisley manga and my brand new Ben10 sweater wif my WP beanie and got into the mode for Newlands!!

Kykie I must admit thet I was a klein bietjie nervous because Grickwas mos like to time and again take us for a alles and win us but I did forgot a fact that my girlfriends oupa did wys me and that was that the last time they did win us on Newlands was in 1911 that was mos still that time when TV was still on the radio.

YOH the slice came when I were just leavings for the game the heavens did open and after about 20 minutes of stoffies the julle water did falled from the sky and I did check here comes a thing.

The game did start and shame but that jongens got it swaar, die mense kannie a ball vangie and I did think it was going to be anybodys game but I did lie WP did scrum very lekka and also lined out very very kwaai Anton van Zyl took one ball out the air in Rondebosch while his legs were still on Newlands.

WP did only score 2 tries on the first half, one by Brok Harris, ou vettie was lekka sneaky on the line, nobody did think he was just going to grab the ball and dot it down.Joe Pieterson did do a kwaai dive also after Grant  and Duane did their thing first.

In the second half  WP did throw that new laaitie Toemaar on the field soema one time and moved Peter Grant one over to centre, I must admit the jong played lekka and WP did start to play attacking rugby , you could see they were chising that 4 tries.

Duane Vermuelen did get the third try after deciding to wys the mense he is alrite vrek strong and went on his own from 5m from the line, about 20 grikwas mense jumped on him but he was as aan and get his try.

The next try ou FRIKKIE did get a try after Toemaar did hand off a brah and popped the ball to De Jongh who did wys he can kick a ball like John Smit and Frikkie did play lekka slip and slide on the ball there in the corner.

That try by Frikkie was the BP and at that time the Grickwas still only had 3 points, shame man!But WP weren’t klaar they went to chise another one eksê and with know time left on the clock Toemaar gooi a mooi pass to Pieter Louw who did want to wys hy het min haare my hy is oek a gengster and did catch the ball and gooi a lekka stick dive for the line, ek sou my vrek gelag het if he did dop the ball, Kallie Vuki did mos do that in Boland last year.

But ja, WP did get the full house like they did say they were going to and I was soaked to the blarry bone, I didn’t evens suip after the game, I did go straight home because the motjie did make a lekka big pot of boeba and I was smaaking for it.

For now its safe from me, in Rugby

  • Hamilton became the first open club since 2001 to win the National Club Champs when they beat defending champions NWU-Pukke 36-34 in a nailbiting and high-quality final played at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Saturday.

The Western Province champions and South Africa’s oldest club broke an eight-year stranglehold on the trophy by student teams, and in so doing capped off the most remarkable season in their 134-year history.

  • who the hell decided to have aussie refs in the cc. griquas and free state should feel hard done by. i by no means suggest griquas would have won the game, but they wouldn’t have been thrashed. but free state definitely got the wrong calls. if the staters deserved a yellow card then why didn’t the bulls get one as they were penalised double the amount free state were. i am really losing interest in rugby. the sport is being marred by the very people that are supposed to make it attractive.

  • @try time (Comment 15) : It’s probably to give them some exposure to top level matches. Not many of those in Aus at the mo.

    But I’m just guessing.

  • @try time (Comment 15) :

If your scrum, line out suffers, and you drop every ball in contact in addition to only kicking 10 meters downfield instead of 30 then you are bound for a thrashing.

But the Bulls were f-ing lucky.

  • @Morné (Comment 17) : Plus they were constantly off sides and rightly punished by the ref for it.
