Lions coach Hans Coetzee has been forced to make some changes to his team to face the Sharks in Durban on Saturday.
Alwyn Hollenbach, himself an injury-enforced selection at fullback after the impressive Earl Lewis was crocked, has now succumbed to the injury curse himself, meaning a recall for the erratic Earl Rose in the number fifteen jersey. Michael Killian comes in at right wing for the injured Dusty Noble, while former Bulls prop Kevin Buys takes over at tighthead after Gert Muller sustained a season-ending shoulder injury against Boland.
Nico Luus comes in at lock for Willem Stoltz in the only other change to the run-on fifteen.
On the bench, Torrie Meyer comes in at reserve hooker for the injured Derek Harwood. There is no place in the 22 for the talented young Jaco Taute this week.
