140 came, 98 of them are dead, and some are on their knees, 38 in fact. Only 11 are still left standing upright.
With only four rounds of the Super 14 league phase left to go we are getting to the business end and the semi-finalists are starting to sort themselves out. On JustRugby.net’s WEBER Last man Standing competition we may have whittled down the numbers considerably but we still have 11 green guys standing around nervously.
A few of them have very cleverly delayed picking the S14 underachievers as long as possible. We have a saying in Afrikaans. “Slim vang sy Baas” and that just may be closer to the truth than we all think. As I’ve already said, we are at the business end of the competition now and you are going to have to start picking those under achievers soon, if you have not already done so for this round. (I have 🙁 ) Let’s have a look at how things are set up to play out.

As we can see Lions, Cheetahs, Force is a recurring theme throughout this list above. Some are lucky and have maybe two decent teams left but mostly they only have one. For my money Hydras and Blue Blood will be fighting it out at the death with the Cheetahs v Lions game in Round 14 being the decider.

Where do I lodge a complaint regarding this competition? I only lost out because the ref was biased, he missed two knock-ons that would have altered the course of the game, there should have been at least three penalty tries, four yellow cards for the opposition, and also I was very tired because I just got back from a long trip overseas 😆 😆 😆
Damn Force got me to my knees against the stormers 🙁 …I’m putting my money on Blue Blood to take this one.
