Bulls loose forward Pedrie Wannenburg looks set to be released from his contract and should join Irish team Ulster with immediate effect
Wannenburg has had somewhat of a turbulent history in South African rugby, after being cut from the 2003 World Cup squad for texting his girlfriend from the Bok dressing room. Despite ammassing over a hundred Super Rugby caps for the Bulls – in addition to 20 tests – the five-time Currie Cup winner has battled to hold down a regular spot in the Bulls starting team of late.
The camp was further rocked by Wannenburg’s admission to recreational drug use earlier this year.
Ulster have already confirmed the signings of Sharks players Johann Muller and Ruan Pienaar ahead of next season.

Can I ask one of my editor buddies to fix the spelling for me? Turns out it’s wannenburg with a u. 😳
Morning
i don’t think the Bulls have a problem with finding players 😕
But its sad to see our players go 👿 but on the other hand we get the chance to see our younger players show their thing which is good
@chaz (For you Bro) (Comment 2) : I agree, Pedri was his own worst enemy
Hope they search him well at the airport . . . 😈
@Original Pierre (Comment 4) : maybe they needed a new contact … 😈
