Brad Barritt is currently on his way to Sydney, to join up with the England squad ahead of the last two games of their Australian tour.
The former Sharks midfielder, controversially omitted from the initial touring group despite a superb season for Saracens, that saw him named in the Premiership Team of the Year, is currently on tour with the England Saxons in the USA, where they are competing for the Churchill Cup.
We don’t have any details yet about who Barritt is replacing in he squad, but we’d like to wish him nothing but the very best and hope this is the start of a long and successful international career. Go kill some Aussies, Dub!

Dub?? 🙄
Anyway, well done Brad!!
Just so you know, a certain bloke who runs this site shed a tear or two when this news broke!! 😆
Well done mate, you deserve it! Go make us proud!!
Matt Banahan’s England tour is over after he was found guilty of a dangerous tackle in Tuesday’s 15-9 victory over the Australian Barbarians.
The England win was cited for a “lifting tackle” on Australian centre Berrick Barnes and he attended a disciplinary hearing in Sydney on Wednesday.
Banahan has been suspended until June 30, ruling him out of Saturday’s second Test against the Wallabies and next Wednesday’s clash with New Zealand Maori in Napier.
Banahan was unlikely to have been involved in Saturday’s Test but he has started both of England’s midweek games on tour and would have been in contention to face the Maori.
England have the right to appeal the suspension imposed by the New Zealand judicial officer Peter Hobbs but no decision on that has yet been made public.
Martin Johnson will announce the England team to play the second Test tomorrow.
Mike Tindall missed training yesterday with a dead leg but Johnson is confident the Gloucester centre will be fit.
MAYBE he is being called as cover for Tindall

@KSA Shark © (Comment 6) : who the hell is James Slipper?
@robdylan (Comment 7) :
Haven’t got a clue but he slipped into the side somehow. 🙂
@robdylan (Comment 7) : Isn’t he that young hooker that they think is the next best thing?!
@Richard Ferguson (Comment 9) : From the Reds..
@Richard Ferguson (Comment 9) :
He is more than likely a prop. Huia Edmonds is the hooker sub.
@Richard Ferguson (Comment 10) :
If you are thinking about the Reds hooker with the dreadlocks. That is Saia Faingaa, he is the starting hooker.
Sorry, my bad.. Googled him, he is from the reds, but he is a prop..
firstly hope this isn’t a flash in the pan and you get more opportunities. but enjoy hope you get some game time.
secondly rob where did you get a picture of pienaar running? i can only find ones of him lying on the grass or tying his shoe laces. 😆
Wish Barritt was still playing for the Sharks 🙁
Go England ❗ 😳
@JarsonX (Comment 15) :
Would the Sharks release him to play for England though? 🙄 😛
Sorry guys, my bad. He is from the Reds, but he is a prop.
Barritt is missed at the Sharks but in all fairness there are a lot of centres ahead of him in the Boks pecking order. I still don’t like seeing him pulling on the jersey of the enemy though.
4600 comments and counting…. 😎
@lostfish (Comment 18) :
At least now Rob will be happy as I’ll be wearing a Jersey supporting Barritt. 😆

@chaz (For you Bro) (Comment 34) : i will vote in favour – if democracy is introduced on this matter
@robdylan (Comment 31) : because it would take a player out of almost 1/2 of S14/15. Could be tricky.
I think we should take a vote on it, it seems only fair that if a Sharksworld pool is played, you win a cup if you do..
ONLY when its a SHARKSWORLD pool and ONLY when its RUGBY related can u get a cup on Sharksworld.
@JarsonX (Comment 38) : And with that, please dont mention my pools on this site as its not related to Sharksworld.
@JarsonX (Comment 38) :
Well that is just ridiculous!! 👿
