Interesting team of the week this week, which has seen another great response from both authors and bloggers.
There are a few players that stay put in their positions, and some that have moved to the right position (read Lambie). Juan de Jongh, Lwazi Mvovo, Pat Lambie and Willem Alberts all recoded shut outs this week, with them being in every single submitted team.
At loosehead prop we had a three-way tie, with no way of separating them in an unbiased way, I gave them all three the position.
No surprises that the Sharks representation shot up dramatically.

15. Jaco Taute (Lions)
– Close second Conrad Jantjes
14. Gerhard van den Heever (Bulls)

Any ideas for a try of the week guys? I didnt see much other than the Sharks game, so I didn’t say anything…
@Richard Ferguson (Comment 1) : I do, the Deon Fourie finished try, went through most of the teams’ hands – AWESOME!
Thanx to everybody that contributed and sent in their team.
Remember that anybody can submit a team, by emailing me [email protected] by the Tuesday and your team will be taken into account.
@molly (Comment 2) : MUST BE ❗
I think Jovan Bowles (Leo) was great and Deon Stoltz (Leo) also deserves a mention.
I have to say that I enjoyed each and every try scored by the Sharks and those scored by Leopards against the Bulls 😛
@Jarson (Comment 6) : I need to try get in some highlightes of the Bulls game, I didnt see very much of it..
I know Riaan Viljoen and Bjorn Basson were both on the EOYT but were they ever capped?? If not I would put them at 15 and 14 in the rugby365 team.
And Willem Alberts needs to be there somewhere at 7 or preferably at 8
@Pokkel (Comment 8) : I think the Rugby365 team is based on the entire Cuttie Cup so far, seeing as they have Lambie at 12 and not at 10 after this last weekend..
Will investigate..
@molly (Comment 2) :
I second that. he scored the try but it WAS a team try.
Here is my comment from the match thread
Griquas get to 3m out from the WP Line only to lose the ball in the ruck and WP are in the Griquas goal area to score a try 30seconds later.
aaah – I was looking for this

just seen the Fourie try. What a beaut, despite the forward pass to de Waal 🙂
van den heever’s try was also legendary… he did a huge amount of work to score that
@robdylan (Comment 12) :
Hey i wouldn’t call that forward, what I WOULD call forward was the pass to vd Heever.
