About a week ago I got this “blondewave” to start a column to get to know the bloggers on Sharksworld a little better. First up – although I do not know if this guy needs a lot of intro – is PJLD aka Provincejoulekkerding aka Claytie. Claytie hails from the beautiful Cape.
We asked Claytie some questions and this is how it panned out!
SW: What do you do for a living?
PJLD: I pretend to be a Desktop/Network Technician
SW: Who do you support and why?
PJLD: WP – My daddy said so.Quite literally.when I was a kid he told me I WILL support the Springboks, WP and Man United.
SW: What was your most memorable rugby experience (personallyexperienced or a team / player)
PJLD: Team mates telling me I had a good game is always the best feeling , wether it’s a school game, club game, social game or even touch rugga on a Sunday.Getting thumbs up from teammates is the best moment wrt rugga.
SW: What is your Dream team (old and current players)?
PJLD: This changes every week
SW: Which co-bloggers opinion do you value the Most? Why?
PJLD: Morne/PissAnt – His opinions are usually well thought out and him and his boet make for awesome drinking buddies
SW: What is the biggest sacrifice you’ve made to watch a rugby match?
PJLD: skipped a payment on my car so I could travel to take a road trip to watch the Sprinboks play
SW: Who is your least liked player?
PJLD: Some Ozzie somewhere, or wait, Derrick Kuun.Maybe, I dunno ,most of the okes I don’t like but I do respect, going to have to go with Derrick.
SW: Who are your favourite 3 players of all time and why?
PJLD: John Smit, Breyton Paulse and 2004/5 Ricki Januarie, was a massive fan of him then George Gregan
SW : If you could have a blogger deleted, who would it be and why?
PJLD: Nobody really, the crazed drunken ozzie saffa is gone already. I don’t easily get worked up and kind of like to get everyones opinions.Maybe WPW for a few weeks If I had to choose someone.
SW: If you could select a coach (past or present) to be with Your team – who would it be?
PJLD: Don’t know.
SW: How did you end up on SW, wasting valuable company time?
PJLD:Rob asked me really nicely and promised me unimaginable riches and a blackberry.I thought it would be a cool way to be creative now and then so here I am.
SW:Who is your favourite referee – current or old?
PJLD: Jason Jeptha Don’t really pay the refs much mind but I see he has come up the premier div so good on him
SW: Why Rugby ?
PJLD: Once I understood the game a bit there was no going back.Hooked and no signs or wish of being released.
SW: If you could play – what position would suite you best and why?
PJLD: Scrumhalf – scrumhalves are characters, and are literally cocky bastards on the field
SW: Do you have any pre-match routines (home or going to the game)?
PJLD: If I’m at Newlands in a very american movie way ill just sit quietly and shut everything out, and wish my team well
SW: How do you react when your team loses?
PJLD: I go quiet and sulky. I don’t lus to really do anything and I don’t have an appetite for a few hours (I usually eat A LOT)
SW: What is your most memorable rugby moment ever?
PJLD: Sprinboks winning the 2007 RWC
SW: What is your favourite rugby ground?
PJLD: Without a doubt Newlands.Its Nuweland, parkings a nightmare but I love the vibe in the area before the game, seeing the folks streaming in from every accessable road, some of them falling out of Springbok pub. The mountain in the background. Awesome.
