WPW…have you seen much of Conrad Hoffman? I thought he was MASSIVELY over rated when he played for SA U19’s…but only saw him twice and haven’t seen much of him since then. I know he’s fairly highly rated by his various coaches but I don’t know if he just had poor days when I watched him?

I watched him closely in his debut CC season and he was sublime.
I think he was messed around by the WP ‘brainstrust’ who tried to convert him to flyhalf but that wasn’t as successful as they had hoped.
He was however one of the start players during the Varsity Cup where he played 9 and 10 for Maties.
I think when he is on top of his game he will definitely start at 9 for the Sharks. All he needs is game time!!!

A few thoughts going through my head.
1)WP had good defence at the beginning of the season, but you can only tackle and tackle and tackle for so long and the tackles are now starting to slip.
2) Surely the replacements should be fresh and therefore the tackling should still be good and solid.
Everyone is saying there have been a few injuries, I believe that to be correct. It would therefore be very interesting to see WHO missed the tackles, the new boys or the tired boys?

Like the soccer WC I missed 7 picks…and some simple ones like where there was a clear winner…
I was in the top 20 of the world before I missed two picks in 1 night and the dropped to 300 odd by just missing two picks…but it was a bad game to miss…not often you have a easy winner in soccer…
