Okay so after a long season which is STILL not finished we have a winner in our JustRugby Last Man Standing Competition, sponsored by Restonic
I need not remind you what the prize in this year’s Restonic Last Man Standing competition is, do I? Okay well let me do it anyway. Restonic has given us a QUEEN Size bed to give away to the winner of our Last Man Standing competition.
This was not an easy winner to pick this year at all, with no less than 14 Players making it all the way through the competition without losing a Lifeline. Here are those “winners” are in no particular order. Deysel 15, Porter Storm, SexKitten’s double, Wild boys, Blue Blood, Sandshark, CS, Rions lions, Raggie’s rangers, Pieta’s XV, Alberton, Western Cavaliers, Hydras, Fish Food.
Unfortunately only one winner can be announced and we have had to go to the tie-break as usual. As you all know the tie break is determined by Sharksworld participation.
Our Winner for the 2010 Currie Cup JustRugby Restonic Last Man Standing competition is Fish Food (Lost Fish). Lost Fish outstripped the 2nd placed commenter, CS, by more than 500 comments, no easy feat in a little over 14 weeks.
Congratulations Lost Fish, we will be in contact shortly to arrange delivery of your lovely Restonic Queen Sized bed and your trophy will appear next to your avatar shortly.
LMS rule changes for the future.
As you all know we have always used Sharksworld participation as the tiebreak when we have more than one “winner” on the www.JustRugby.net Last Man Standing competitions. We have grown considerably over the last period and limiting the prize to Sharksworld participants is no longer a viable or fair option, so the tie break will be changed from the next competition onwards.
At the completion of each round the picks for the following round will be re-opened. The elapsed time between the opening of the picks for the next round and the time of your pick will be recorded in the database. At the end of the competition, IF a tiebreak is required the entrants with the smallest accumulative elapsed time between round opening and pick selection, over the entire season, will be the winner.
We will NOT be opening the round at a set time every week as it will become too predictable and in some cases advantageous to people in specific time zones around the world. You will have to check back as often as you can to see if the pick selection for the next round has become available yet or not. We do guarantee that the round WILL be opened before 17:00 SA time every Monday. It could be done 5minutes after the last match of the round is completed or it could be done at 16:59 on Monday, stay on your toes.
