Sharksworld has learned that Mark Richards, Sbu Sithole and Lubabalo Mtembu have all been selected for the Bok Sevens team that leaves for Dubai on Friday.
All three players have agreed split contracts, meaning that both the Sharks and the national Sevens team will contribute to their slaraies over the next 6 months. The idea is that all three will remain with the Blitzbokke until the middle of next year, at wihch point they will return to the Sharks for Currie Cup or Under 21 duty as appropriate.
Our understanding is that the nature of the contracts would allow the Sharks to recall any of the players from he Sevens squad if required for Super 15 duty.
Great stuff – boys. Glad to know you’re keeping the flags flying high.
