David Pocock will for the second season running miss the bulk of the Super Rugby competition after being sidelined for six weeks with a medial ligament strain.
RugbyHeaven Aus reports that after being a spectator last season with a finger tendon injury, there were concerns Pocock could miss most of this year after he was forced off against the Sharks in Perth on Saturday night with what appeared to be a serious knee ailment.
Scans yesterday cleared Pocock of any major damage to his right knee. He will wear a brace for at least three weeks, and is expected not to return to the Force line-up until April.

And Force centre Rory Sidey was last night suspended for three weeks by the SANZAR judiciary after being found guilty of a dangerous tackle on Sharks winger Odwa Ndungane.
In Brisbane, Reds five-eighth Quade Cooper has been cleared of any damage after being punched in the face by Brumbies prop Salesi Ma’afu in the final minutes of the Canberra match on Saturday night.

Sucks that this went to Aus. Born in Zim and didn’t come to SA. Although it wasn’t his choice, his parents moved when he was like 12. I rate him very highly! Would slot into the sharks loose trio very nicely.

Pockock was handling on the floor in that ruck. If he hadnt been cheating, he wouldnt have been injured, simple as. Frankly I have no sympathy for his injury. 👿
