The Stormers and the Bulls have announced their teams.
The Bulls have made only one change to their starting XV that lost to the Highlanders last weekend. Bakkies I missed Cowan” Botha starts in place of Danie Rossouw who shifts to the bench at the expens of Juandré Kruger who drops out of the match 22.
For the Stormers there are two changes, Juan de Jongh has been dropped to the bench with Jaque Fourie getting a start. Wicus Blaauw moving into the starting XV and CJ vd Linde dropping to the bench is the other.

I’m afraid the Stormers are going to get thumped.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 1) : Quite afraid myself. 😳
Elgar Watts ???
@Charlie (Comment 3) : Whats about Watts?
@Charlie (Comment 3) : @KSA Shark © (Comment 4) : The Stormers have more chances with him @ 10 to score tries…
@McLovin (Comment 2) : Be very afraid… 😈
Stormers to take this…u heard it from my lips.. 😉
@Charlie (Comment 6) : Will be cowering behind the couch come Saturday. 😉
@Ice (Comment 7) : Ai, if only that were to be true.
I picked Stormers on SB. 🙂
Francois Hougaardt back from injury.
I almost didn’t recognise Ethienne Reyneke the other day in a Vodacom Cup game. It seems ironic that he’s moved to Cape Town and no longer uses peroxide.
@beet (Comment 11) : Does he still have a mullet?
@KSA Shark © (Comment 12) : No, even that’s gone. Trust me when I say he is virtually unrecognisable.
Firstly I wouldn’t be so quick to write off the Stormers; this is going to be an epic game (I hope) – I think The Bulls will eventually win, but it won’t be a blowout…
Juan De Jongh – its criminal having a player of his calibre on the bench – I rate him highly – would make place for him in the starting 22, he’s too good not to have in the team – even if he is on the wing in place of out of form Habana.
CJ on the bench, is he supposed to be the trump card to match the Bulls physicality? He had his best game for the Stormers in the number 3 jumper, he is about as good as John Smit on loosehead – not chuffed to see Smit at loosehead this weekend – but Beast deserves a 60min rest (HE IS A TRUMP CARD)… Looking forward to seeing The Shark squad post Smit – Burden getting more game time, as well as Van Staden (understand he is nursing) – no discredit to John and his awesome accomplishments, but in terms of pure ability, we do have better.
@DarkDestroyer (Comment 14) : Wicus Blaauw, altho not the type of scrummer you’d want to write home about, has managed to unsettle the big Bulls TH Werner Kruger in the past. I think the Stormers are banking on Blaauw either doing the same thing or at the very worst pulling off a Bill Young Oscar winning performance in terms of fooling the ref. This frontrow battle will be an interesting contest.
@DarkDestroyer (Comment 14) : Starting 22? 🙂
@KSA Shark © (Comment 1) :
Thats what you said last week… and the week before… and the week before!! 🙄
This is really getting a bit tiresome dont you think?? 😕 😈
@DarkDestroyer (Comment 14) :
Well said young man. The Bulls don’t lose many home games and they will really be hurting after their loss against the Highlanders!!
I think its going to be a very close match!!
I think the Stormers will take this one by 10 or so! 🙂
@DarkDestroyer (Comment 14) : I would make space for Juan de Jongh in the sharks’ starting 22. 🙂
@robdylan (Comment 16) : Hahahaha! Yeah, the starting 22 – lol! Sorry about that, but yeah I would find a place for him in the starting XV…
@Ben (Comment 20) : No doubt about that, would be great to see him playing for a real team…
@wpw (Comment 18) : Yes, The Bulls will have a lot to play for, The Stormers will be out to prove they can play – both teams will be up for this game…
@DarkDestroyer (Comment 22) : If he comes in a year or so the sharks can offer him a starting 15 spot for every week. Can the stormers do that? I don’t think so.
@Ben (Comment 19) :
Habana to score two tries!!
😉
@wpw (Comment 25) : Against the Bulls defense it’s very possible.
@Ben (Comment 24) :
Clutching at straws mate!!
TWG13 will probably leave at the end of this season. If he does De Jongh will take his place.
I am sure he will stay in CT to infinity and beyond!! 😈
@wpw (Comment 25) : And aplon to score a hatrick! GO STORMERS!!!! 🙂
@wpw (Comment 27) : Jy wiet mos WP kan nie talent hou nie…
@wpw (Comment 27) : To some, two days in CT is like an infinity 😆
@Greg (Comment 30) : bwahaha!! not for ricky januarie. He`s loving Cape Town. (and McDonalds) 😉
out of a sharks point of view – a 0 – 0 draw would be the best result. or maybe, just maybe a bulls victory…
but hey, dont throw away the draw idea… 😈
well well but i don’t think at all that either teams will want to loose but went with bulls by 6
