The Highlanders and the Crusaders battle it out for the top spot in the NZ conference this morning.

The Crusaders had an unusually rough start to the season having to wait until round 3 for their 1st victory after taking a draw from their cancelled clash against the Hurricanes and a shock defeat to the blues in round 1. From there on it has been business as usual with 2 comfortable wins over Australian sides.

The Highlanders also had an unusual start to the season, but theirs was unusually successful. They lost for the 1st time last week after ending the Bulls’ 20 match unbeaten run at Loftus the week before.

I think the declining fortunes of one and rising fortunes of the other will see the Crusaders walk away with a 15-20 point win. This is going to be a good game.

  • I think the Highlanders are going to come up short here today.

    Highlanders 13 – 44 Crusaders.

Highlanders scored a 79th min 7 pointer to make the score look slightly less like a slaughter.
