Welcome to the fourth Windhoek Lager Team of the Week for the Super Rugby season. We have decided to make it an all South African team and base it only on the weekend match. So if your favourite player did not play on the weekend, he will not be in the team.
Thanks must go to Windhoek Lager for sponsoring this weekly Team. We will have a Team of the Year competition at the end of the season, so make sure to take note of certain players who consistently make the team.

Can’t really argue. On a side note i’d love to see Michael Killian playing for a decent side, perhaps someone for the Sharks to look at…
Still dunno about Habana – I said it earlier – that try, although a great one, did not make up for the awful mistakes he made – other than that…guess I agree.
Thanks Windhoek! 😉
@The Quirk (Comment 1) :
Should he get the same amount of ball that say Bryan Habana got, you will see him in this team every week.
I strongly disagree with Habana being there. I felt sick to my stomach this weekend when Bobby and for that matter the rest of Supersport commentators and the guys on All out Rugby were falling over themselves to ‘protect’ and praise Habana. He was bloody awful and butchered 2 tries and gifted Basson one in the process.
I would have thought Sharksworld would have at least seen through the media’s fascination with Habana 😡
@Pokkel (Comment 4) : Sorry about the rant but I got so bloody annoyed this weekend and now he is suddenly in the team of the week. I nominate Sarel Pretorius in his place for the wing position where he did very well as a replacement out of position IMO
No Bakkies? 🙂
Damn i wanted to submit a team, cant argue much, would have wanted to add Elstadt in there, and maybe not have Bryan Habana in the team.
That said, good work Richard
How can you include Habana instead of Mvovo? No logic there for sure otherwise the team is not too bad
@Pokkel (Comment 5) : Agreed, or have Snyman at 11 and 14 😛
@Clayton(PJLD) (Comment 7) : Congrats of the engagement Claytie 😎
I agree with most of the team Rich. I don’t like seeing Habana in there but of the 11 on show this weekend I’d have to go with him as well.
@Pokkel (Comment 10) : Thanks dude
@Pokkel (Comment 4) : LOL Agreed. Habana is their new Naqalivuki hehehehe
@Pokkel (Comment 4) :
Which 11 was honestly better than Habana?
@Ardent Shark (Comment 8) :
I disagree with that statement, Mvovo was nowhere this weekend, at least Habana put himself in the position to butcher a few tries..
@Pokkel (Comment 4) :
Have to agree regarding the praise singing of the commentators and their Habana praise, but then again it came from that Skinstad guy so its easily dismissable. Hell even then Rapport sports headline was “Die Kaap is Habana”, WTF does that mean – that the Cape is crap?
@Richard Ferguson (Comment 14) : Take your pick…he did ONE thing right this weekend and stuffed up everything else. As I said above Sarel Pretorius was bloody great.
@Salmonoid (Comment 16) : Die Kaap is BANANA’s !!!

@Salmonoid (Comment 16) : hahaha….exactly 😆 😆
@Richard Ferguson (Comment 14) : Sorry Rich …it’s nothing personal but I can’t agree on Habana.
@Pokkel (Comment 17) :
Look, Im not saying he is back to his best..
The whole idea is to choose the best in the country from each of the 5 players who played in that position..
@Salmonoid (Comment 16) :
@Pokkel (Comment 17) : 100% with you!
@Pokkel (Comment 19) :
I know its not personal dude.. no worries..
The thread is designed with debate in mind..
I must say it VERY nice to see Brussouw back to his best.
You seem to have spelled Patrick Lambie wrong, dude.
😆
@Pokkel (Comment 23) :
I was tempted to put the entire Cheetahs team in..
To think they won a game, not even mentioning the fact that won it overseas, and that without Juan Smith.. unbelievable..
@Richard Ferguson (Comment 25) : and against the Tahs who are by no means a bad team.
@SharonvanWyk (Comment 24) :
Hahaha..
@Pokkel (Comment 26) :
A team I am sure wil play in the playoffs!
@Pokkel (Comment 26) :
Im glad Im not a Brumbies supporter this coming weekend, the Tahs are going to want to make up some ground!!
Not sure howcome none of the Stormers front-row made the side, even after bullying th BullyBoys themselves.
Not a bad side, however. Wouldnt have picked JdV mysefl but then thats just me.
Nice one Rich and thanks to the Windycorner.
@VinChainSaw (Comment 30) :
Which 12 would you have gone for?
@Richard Ferguson (Comment 31) : de Jongh 😈
@Richard Ferguson (Comment 31) :
@Pokkel (Comment 32) :
Good point.
Just pains me to see Jean in a team of the week when I dont feel he is playing to potential.
I also like de jongh. Would love to see him start.
@VinChainSaw (Comment 33) : I would also love to see de Jongh start……..for the Sharks 😈
@Pokkel (Comment 34) :
Tell you what, we can do a trade. You give us Bismarck and Mvovo and we’ll trade you De Jongh and throw in Ricky Januarie! 😈
@wpw (Comment 35) :
Sorry dude..
Our McDonalds and Piemans food allowance does not allow for Januarie to come to the Sharks..
@wpw (Comment 35) : no deal….how about Eugene van Staden for de Jongh??
Why do I think that De Jongh will one day be a Lion.
@wpw (Comment 35) : I’ll trade you the Springbok captain for de Jongh 😈
@Pokkel (Comment 39) : and before I get crucified…..I’m just thinking long term.
@Pokkel (Comment 37) :
How about ‘no’
😆
@Salmonoid (Comment 38) :
I think you may be spot on.
JDJ is too talented to merely sit on the bench at the Stormers.
Rumour has it he is also not happy with his current pay packet!!
@wpw (Comment 42) : Get out the cheque book Sharkies….until when is de Jongh contracted with WP?
@Pokkel (Comment 43) :
Im not quite sure.
But you guys have just signed an outside centre so no need to get all excited Pokkie!! 😈
@wpw (Comment 44) : I like de Jongh…I would play him ahead of de Villiers any day.
I dont think there’s a single rugby player in South Africa that I’d trade de Jongh for. Maybe Cupid from the Tjarks, but thats about it.
He is going to be an absolute legend.
@VinChainSaw (Comment 46) : Cupid?? Lambie?? BWAHAHAAHAHAHAHA he is a little Cherub!
@Ice (Comment 47) :
The resemblance is uncanny though! Its the hair.
Bryan Habana!? Hahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaahahahahahaaaa hahaaaa aaaahahahahahahaaaa…. *deep breath*… ahahahahaaaa ….. hahahahahahahahaaaaaaaa ahahahahahahahaaaaahahahaaaa aaaaaaaaahahahahahahhhaaa haaaaaahahahahahahhhhaaaaaahah ahahahahahahahhahaaaaahahahahahahahahaaaaa…. hahahahahahahhaaaaaa….. bwahahahahaaahaaaaaahahahaha
…24 December 2011, incredulous laughter finally dies down
@Culling Song (Comment 49) : I’m glad to see you think it’s funny…….I’m just pissed off!
