Lions flank Michael Rhodes has been found not guilty of  foul play by a SANZAR judicial committee

Rhodes was called to the hearing after the Lions loss to the DHL Stormers on Saturday in which he made contact with DHL  Stormers fullback Conrad Jantjes while trying to charge a clearance kick.

The Lions were able to produce unaired footage which showed alternate angles and SANZAR Judicial Officer Peter Ingwersen found that there was no malice intended.

  • I thought Gary van Aswegen did quite a competant job whilst he was on the field…seems he’s injury is serious? What a pity IMO

  • @Clayton(PJLD) (Comment 4) : 12 minutes to be exact 😉 and I also though he looked good. Burton Francis also look like the right person for the Lions at 10

  • @Pokkel (Comment 5) : @Clayton(PJLD) (Comment 6) : Burton’s problem is inconsistancy. Like all the other flyhalves at the Lions.

  • Butch, Prerorius, Jantjies, Francis. Did the Lions look at what positions guys play or did they just buy and buy.

actually that should be …or did they just make offers and offers. 😉

They will have 4 maybe 5 flyhalves soon.

  • @Salmonoid (Comment 2) : Agreed. Rhodes only endangered himself with that spectacular acrobatic display.

  • @KSA Shark © (Comment 17) : Haha seriously? You classify him as a flyhalf? Shouldn’t a flyhalf be able to pass the ball once in a while? 🙂
