Cheetahs winger Ryno Benjamin has been suspended for two weeks by a SANZAR disciplinary committee.
The former Bok Sevens ace was red-carded during Saturday’s match between the Cheetahs and the Rebels in Bloemfontein for head-butting Wallaby centre Stirling Mortlock. Can’t say too many Saffers could honestly admit that they don’t secretly want to buy Benjamin a beer for that, given the torture that Mortlock has inflicted on South Africa fans with his superb play for the Brumbies and the Wallabies over a decade-long career!
That said, though, it’s still illegal to do that sort of thing and Benjamin was probably quite fortunate to escape with only two weeks off. He’ll miss his side’s upcoming games against the Bulls and the Sharks as a result.

The Dark side was put on the back burner for now, we have run out of cookies..
As for the game on Saturday, I sat in the stands for a change in scenery and it didn’t really work out for me, so its back to the better seats for the Tahs game!!
