Waratahs flyhalf Berrick Barnes has been withdrawn from the team to face the Sharks on Saturday, following complications from a concussion sustained last week.
Barnes, who was cleared to tour with his team despite concerns over the injury, has been training with the side all week, but has now been pulled at the 11th hour after suffering from headaches.
His place in the run-on side will be taken by Daniel Halangahu, with Ben Batger coming onto the bench.
Waratahs: 15 Kurtley Beale, 14 Lachie Turner, 13 Ryan Cross, 12 Tom Carter, 11 Sosene Anesi, 10 Daniel Halangahu, 9 Luke Burgess, 8 Ben Mowen, 7 Chris Alcock, 6 Dave Dennis, 5 Sitaleki Timani, 4 Dean Mumm (captain), 3 Sekope Kepu, 2 Tatafu Polota-Nau, 1 Benn Robinson.
Replacements: 16 John Ulugia, 17 Al Baxter, 18 Pat O’Connor, 19 Hugh Perrett, 20 Brendan McKibbin, 21 Ben Batger, 22 Atieli Pakalani.

I think this is good news for the Sharks… can’t say I’ve ever really rated Halangahu
This sounds like a Porn movie.

Hahahahahahaha!!!!!!
This is not related to the topic, but Owen Nkumande( spelling!!) said something very very interesting today on SuperSport ( shock, horror) ok really he did.
He said what’s happening is that due to the long format of the competition, teams are playing a “tale of two halves” game. I absolutely agree with him. It makes sense. Why play flash rugby for 80 minutes, when you can do it for 40min, and kill the game for the rest.

barnes should call it a day, he really seems to be struggling, another concussion and this may be fatal.
I see Clermont lost last night in semi, does this mean Marius Joubert will be available for sharks from next week?
@grant10 (Comment 6) : he should be.
Would be great if the Waratahs can beat the Sharks!! 😎
Go Tahs!! 😈
