Sharks prop Dale Chadwick celebrates his 22nd birthday today and we’d like to wish him all the best for the day – but also for the year ahead, in which he has a unique opportunity.
The highly versatile former Westville schoolboy has worked his way up through the ranks and made his senior debut for the Sharks back in 2008, making a single appearance for the Currie Cup side against the Leopards. He has been a regular fixture in both the Under 21 and Vodacom Cup sides over the last two years and with neither Beast Mtawarira nor John Smit likely to be in the picture during this year’s Currie Cup, Chadwick is well positioned to claim the Sharks number 1 jersey and make it his own.
