Eugene van Staden has pulled a hammie and will not be fit to play the Blue Bulls in tomorrow’s Currie Cup opener.
While we’re waiting for confirmation, we assume that Dale Chadwick will start at loosehead with another young prop in Julian Redelinghuys coming onto the bench. More on that as we get it.

Re-looking at the Bulls team tomorrow has actually made me quite nervous. I sense an upset may just be on the way (hopefully not). 🙁

With the loss of Van Staden I think the Sharks might be slightly coined as the underdogs in the front row battle although I believe that matters are still square – Bulls win.
Rugby is a team game though and ultimately it will come down to the team that performs the best as a unit. Hopefully that is the Sharks. 🙂

Skeate is a good lock, just bothered by injuries recently. He has been showing some good form recently though and I am sure he will want to build on that in the Currie Cup.
