Wallabies unchanged for Eden park clash

Australian coach Robbie Deans kept an unchanged starting 15 to take on the All Blacks in Auckland this weekend, as they face their first real challenge of the three team competition so far. The only changes made to the 22 are on the bench.

Dan Vickerman, Luke Burgess and Lachie Turner all return to make impacts from the bench after recovering from injuries, in the case of Burgess and Turner, and a return to form for Vickerman.

Wallabies coach Deans was adamant that his team stood a chance of breaking a 17 year record where New Zealand has not lost a test match at Eden Park.

Australia: 15 Kurtley Beale, 14 James O’Connor, 13 Adam Ashley-Cooper, 12 Pat McCabe, 11 Digby Ioane, 10 Quade Cooper, 9 Will Genia, 8 Ben McCalman, 7 David Pocock, 6 Rocky Elsom (captain), 5 James Horwill, 4 Rob Simmons, 3 Ben Alexander, 2 Stephen Moore, 1 Sekope Kepu.

Replacements: 16 Saia Fainga’a, 17 Pek Cowan, 18 Dan Vickerman, 19 Scott Higginbotham, 20 Luke Burgess, 21 Anthony Fainga’a, 22 Lachie Turner.
