Blue Bulls coach Pine Pienaar has named an unchanged team from the team that beat the Lions last weekend, for their clash against the Pumas at Loftus.
Warwick Tecklenburg has retained his starting jersey after he was a late change for Dewald Potgieter last week. It has been confirmed that Potgieter wil take no further part in the competition after an ankle injury ruled him out of the Lions clash.
The Pumas come off a win over the Leopards lat weekend, and have pushed the Bulls previously this season, and will hope to make it two in a row. The problem for them though is that the Bulls can now sniff a semi final spot and will not rest until they have qualified.
Blue Bulls: 15 Zane Kirchner, 14 Bjorn Basson, 13 Wynand Olivier, 12 Francois Venter, 11 Gerhard van den Heever, 10 Louis Fouché, 9 Jano Vermaak, 8 CJ Stander, 7 Jacques Potgieter, 6 Warwick Tecklenburg, 5 Juandré Kruger, 4 Flip van der Merwe, 3 Werner Kruger, 2 Gary Botha (captain), 1 Dean Greyling.
Replacements: 16 Willie Wepener, 17 Rossouw de Klerk, 18 Gerrit-Jan van Velze, 19 Arno Botha, 20 Dustin Jinka, 21 Francois Brummer, 22Jurgen Visser.

Go Warwick!
@war1 (Comment 1) :
Thought you might be happy about that!
Potgieter is another player that never lived up the the hype. There are just too many good loosies in SA.
Wasn’t he going to be the next Springbok captain?
@Richard Ferguson (Comment 2) : He had another good game this weekend with another try. Got through a lot of work as usual.
Rob Dylan and Beet willie de plessis is making his debut for the bulls under21 side.
The team to play the Falcons at 16:45 at Loftus Versfeld on Friday September 29th, is:
Clayton Blommetjies, Sampie Mastriet, Bradley Moolman, Adri Jacobs, Courtnall Skosan, Willie du Plessis
, Xander Redelinghuys, Jono Ross, Wiaan Liebenberg, Dalton Davis, Franco Mostert, Gerno Eksteen, Gerhard Engelbrecht, Bongi Mbonambi, Juan Schoeman. Replacements: Jacques Momberg, Stephan Pretorius, Rudolph Smith, Lean Schwartz, Lohan Jacobs, JC Roos, Ulrich Beyers
@Pokkel (Comment 3) :
That’s what his Bulls homepage profile says 😆
Potgieter just isn’t in the same class. Some people play their hearts out, but just aren’t up to it, and Potgieter is one of those with less athletic ability which restricts him. I can’t see him playing another test.
@Muzi (Comment 5) :
I’m giving up on Pierre Spies hey. The only man in that starting-XV not doing his job at the moment.
Don’t know what to think of his future in the Springbok jersey, except unless he miraculously gets some drive into those legs of his and gets some go-forward ball once someone gets their hands on him.
Surely the Bulls must be favourites having disposed of the Lions and Province in consecutive weeks and even drawing with the Cheetahs. 2 of those games, 1st and last, was away nogal 😎 😈
@hendrikp (Comment 7) : 🙁 Dude have faith
but hey its up to you BUT you know me dude i’m a huge Pierre Spies supporter i can never give up on him.
He has let down alot of bulls and bok supporters over the past 6 months.
He had a great 2010 EOTY tour in Great Britain i thought he would kick on from there.
I think spies is probably on his last chance against samoa if he plays like the way he did against wales then he should pack his bags come home and promote his book
which i sadly haven’t bought yet.
@hendrikp (Comment 7) : In saying that though i have to agree with Bob Skinstad and Zinzan Brooke he is a talented player but he is being wasted :cry:.The boks do not have a set move for him nothing at all.
Carel Du plessis did say that we need to create space for pierre the kicking game plan the bulls played did not help him at all.
It’s going to be a very interesting 2012 for spies his close mates especially du preez and co are going and with heyneke meyer implementing a running game who knows we may see spies finally shine.
His contract at the bulls runs out in october 2012 so if he plays like he did in the 2011 super 15 i think he will not be picked for the bok side again.
He owes it to himself and the rugby public to realise his immense potential especially in this world cup.
I hope he is up to it or else i will not buy his book.
