We’ve had a number of questions recently regarding tickets for the ABSA Currie Cup Final, between the Lions and the Sharks in Johannesburg on Saturday.
Our information is that tickets are now on sale, via Computicket. Sharks fans hoping to give Coca-Cola Park a bit of a black-and-white tinge on Saturday would do well to get their a’s in g and head down to Computicket right now to secure seats.
If you want to brave the Computicket web site, which is notoriously flaky, you can try here. I just clicked the link 3 minutes ago, though and it has yet to open, so best to get into your car and head down there, methinks.

some more details here
Computicket has opened Rob, but their site seems to be taking strain judging from the time it’s taking to open the seating plan!
Dawn Rabie from the Sharks ticket office advised me that they are expecting to get an allocation from the Lions, so that is another option for Durban based folks.
@Greg (Comment 2) : oh cheers… thanks Greg.
I have just bought 6 tickets at Computicket, but a word of caution there are not many left, and unlikely to last long.
For anyone who believes in history repeating: Sharks last won back-to-back titles in 95/96 by beating WP in Durban (95) and the Lions in Jhb in ’96. Last year we won by beating WP at Kings Park, and you all know who we play on Saturday…
@Greg (Comment 5) : thanks for ruining my next article 🙂
@robdylan (Comment 6) : yw
struggling with computicket!!!!
Haha..i got my tickets this morning from the stadium…we normally expect long lines awaiting at the ticket office in the early hours of the morning but there were onlyt a few of us..a lil disappointing as the lions havent hosted a final in years..but neverless i will be there screaming the boys on..
@shaniboi (Comment 9) : which stadium bro? Coca Cola Park?
computicket sucks!!!!!!!!!1
According to Lionsrugby website, computicket sales only open at 12pm today.
@robdylan (Comment 10) : ye coca cola park..me n dad took turns waiting from this morning..
I hope the stadium is full, but I hope I can still get great tickets!
Sure there will be more Sharks fans at Coca Cola Park than at Kings Park. What a disgraceful turn out for a semi final! 🙄
@Nita (Comment 12) : it was open earlier but with errors…
@Greg (Comment 5) : I believe ; )..
@Ben (Comment 15) :finals are always sold out..n i am hoping that coca cola park opens the top area so that there is a bigger crowd..the sharks supporters probably outside of durban have a massive fan base in jhb n we can make this a home game..
YEAH BABY!!!! got my tickets 😛
Awesome. I was at the semi this weekend in Durbs, and will now be going to the final as well… How lucky can one man be?
According to Twitter Mark Lawrence will be the ref?

@Original Pierre (Comment 21) : That’s great news!
Have been informed that there will be some tickets on the upper east stand available through the KZNRU for R175. For further details email dawn[at]natal-sharks.co.za
