Let’s get the Park nice and full to support our boys in 2012.

I’m renewing mine. 😎
@KSA Shark © (Comment 1) : what do they cost, just as a matter of interest?
I think the nice change this year is the 10 months worth of Sunday Tribunes. A lot better than a few months of the Mercury imho.
Wish I still lived close enough to be able to get one 🙁
I will definitely be renewing my seats on the halfway line…come on guys get involved and get your tickets! Before you criticise on paper put ur bum on a seat at the stadium and get behind your team!
@SheldonK (Comment 5) : comment of the day
@beet (Comment 3) : meant change for 2012’s tickets not this year.
@robdylan (Comment 6) : The sharks have signed SA schools hooker and waterkloof pupil Morne Du Plessis.
Very Talented Hooker.
Alot of Kloffies boytjies are going to durban these days.
@robdylan (Comment 6) : We are very fickle here in Durbs. We critise before we support. We moan before we encourage. And we always think there are better players than the ones on the field. Id love to see a packed out Kings Park for every home game of the season. I can guarantee that the Sharks performances will improve with a full house cheering them on and not just sitting there and moaning at what they doing wrong or should be doing. AT the moment Kings Park is a friendly place for visiting teams!
@beet (Comment 7) : Heard Henco Venter played for waterkloof before moving to monnas.
A very talented player
The sharks have Stefan Ungerer and Venter now. 👿
Add Smit. 😕
Not bad at all.
@Muzi (Comment 8) : Can u blame them? After spending their matric holiday on the KZN beaches with girls prancing around in very little in sure the decision to come to Durbs wasnt very hard…
@SheldonK (Comment 11) :
hahaha
If only I lived in Durban… Been way too long since I caught a game at KP.
@beet (Comment 7) :
Just read news24 things are not looking good for francois brummer.
Poor guy can not find a team to join it looks like he does not want to leave SA.
And now this has turned into a junior rugby thread already! Is there nothing else to talk about?
I heard on the radio (94.7) that the Lions season tickets cost R1400. You can watch all the SR and CC games there and the test that is being played there plus you get a Lions CC champs edition jersey. Now that’s seriously cheap. What does the Kings Park season ticket cost?
@Big Fish (Comment 13) : Same here. Wish I could attend every game.
@robdylan (Comment 2) : I see the prices are available on the site too, between R1150-R1950 depending of the area, I like the bronze zone ones, think they goodish seats and value as a package.
@Muzi (Comment 10) : We don’t seem to have Smit at the moment. He moved to East London when the Zululand Rugby Academy relocated during the year. I guess they’ll now call the setup the Buffalo Rugby Academy. They seem to name everything down there after that animal
@Ben (Comment 15) : Sharks don’t give a jersey but a few other tings like even o’ shaka tickets, English test and subscription to sharks magazine, and Sunday Trinune newspaper. and a few other things I don’t know what they are…..
@Muzi (Comment 10) : It’s a bit confusing. Henco Venter is Reuben Kruger’s nephew from GCB who now plays for the Cheetahs u19. We are getting Hanco Venter, the scrummy from Monnas. I agree he is a good acquisition for the Sharks. I was surprised that he did not go to CW but I heard that he was injured for the trial matches and therefore not considered.
@Franshark (Comment 19) : Sibaya gambling vouchers and Siyaba restaurant voucher and Rythmic Beat voucher
@Franshark (Comment 19) : Also buy one get one free tickets
@beet (Comment 20) : Henco was injured he could have made sa schools.He was a try scoring machine at monnas.Remember watching the one game against kloffies he was all over waterkloof like a rash.
@beet (Comment 18) : Something special happening in buffalo city.
Border Bulldogs are on the up.
@Muzi (Comment 23) : Hanco not Henco
@beet (Comment 25) : haha
@robdylan (Comment 2) : dunno yet, I expect between 1100 and 1500 each for mine.
@beet (Comment 3) : That’s not a change this year, been like that for at least 2 years already. 🙂
@Muzi (Comment 14) : I think the Pumas should get Brummer…he would do well in that environment. Or even at Griquas!
@Ben (Comment 15) : They are dyslexic and think it says Schoolworld. 🙂
@KSA Shark © (Comment 30) : 😆
@beet (Comment 21) : Only the restaurant voucher is new, all the other stuff has been around for a while. 🙂
We really do get some good value for our tickets. 😎
@KSA Shark © (Comment 32) : Well the last 3yrs ive made back my cost of my season ticket with the gambling vouchers.
@SheldonK (Comment 33) : I get mine in a lump sum when I return. They get loaded by family members when we are not there and because they don’t like gambling we get to use 4 tickets worth when we return every year. 🙂
@KSA Shark © (Comment 34) : Thats a pretty sweet deal hey! If you actually use all the stuff that comes with the season ticket and attend all the games, the value ids way more than the price!
Those season ticket prices look really reasonable and would make a great Christmas gift! Wish there was a Gautrain to Durban 😥
On an unrelated note – is it necessary to turn every single thread on here into a thread about junior rugby Muzi? It’s great that we discuss and get behind the youngsters but surely there comes a point where it gets discussed so often that nobody cares anymore?
@vanmartin (Comment 36) : Well there is a Gautrain on its way… sooner than you think 😉
@Uli (Comment 37) : Okay, I’m very curious – tell me more please!
@robdylan (Comment 2) : ZAR 1,280-00 each for mine.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 28) : No this year we had daily morning paper called the Mercury, next year the offer is for the Sunday Tribune.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 34) : How do you organise that coz I thought the casino card is linked to the season ticket holders details and isn’t transferable. Asking coz I don’t use the casino vouchers and wud like to give them to someone else if I can.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 1) : To the advantage of us bloggers! 😉
@beet (Comment 40) : I had the Sunday Tribune delivered to my house, Deliveries start in February of the year.
Maybe different categories have different Newspapers.
It would be great to have a packed stadium – 16th player needs to start doing their bit now..!
@beet (Comment 41) : All 4 season tickets are in my name.
They are not linked to the ticket holder because it then creates a catch 22 where you may only load one ticket voucher per period per casino card. So tickets which are registered in company names etc. would then lose out.
So the family in RSA (2 of them) each have a card and Kette and I each have a card. As long as you know the pin number for the card they will allow you to load the voucher onto it.
Then when you are ready to use the card to play you can go and insert it and play.
With the tables you collect your chips (instead of loading money on the casino card) and then take the chips home for later use.
You can’t cash in the chips or the voucher unless they have been played, to prevent people from just recycling the voucher for cash.
@KSAShark: you spending the festive season in KSA?
@bergshark (Comment 46) : Yip that I am.
Kette’s Mom, sister and nephew arrive on Tuesday.
On the website it states:
“To redeem these credits, simply produce your Season Ticket, ID and valid MVG card at the MVG Guest Relations desk. If you are not a member you will be required to sign up for an MVG card”
I understand your point about the company name but what if the s/ticket is in an individual’s name, then surely the casino staff match the s/ticket name to the ID details first before loading the voucher onto a card?
@beet (Comment 48) : No because all 4 my tickets are in one name, so they have to allow at least three of the ticket vouchers to be loaded to a different person because they don’t allow you to load more than one voucher per MVG card.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 49) : Thanks. I wish I’d known this info a few years back 🙂
