Former Springbok and Western Province scrumhalf, Bolla Conradie, could see the fruit of his excellent form with Boland last season with a call up to the Stormers SupeRugby squad, after coach Allister Coetzee hinted that the player has impressed him.
Bolla Conradie has been playing for Boland for the last two seasons, after falling our of favour at the Cape Based franchise, and after a good showing, received a call up to the preliminary training squad at the end of last year. Even though many expected the player to not have a chance, especially competing with Dewaldt Duvenhage and the exciting pair of Nick Groom and Louis Schreuder.
After Coetzee’s comments, Conradie could well see himself in the squad ahead of either Groom or Schreuder, completing an amazing comeback to top flight rugby. We will have to wait for the official squad announcement, but don’t be surprised to see Conradie in action come SupeRugby time.

Poor Province
You scared me half to death… I thought just read Conradie in the mix and I thought he was in the Sharks mix. I can breathe again.
@lostfish (Comment 2) :
Sorry, giving people mild heart attacks was not my plan!
Going to be awesome seeing Bolla create the match winning try for the Stormers against the Sharks
@Clayton(PJLD) (Comment 4) :
I wouldn’t bet against that happening!
@Clayton(PJLD) (Comment 4) : ๐
Not likely!
@Jakes (Comment 6) : We’ll see ๐
I wud use the term exciting to describe Nic Groom but perhaps levelheaded or cool/calm/collected seems a better fit for Schreuder. He’s never struck me as being an exciting player.
@lostfish (Comment 2) : Had exactly the same reaction! phew . .. huge sigh of relief.
